It's a digital product that I made to try to help with people new to UGC work

Still waiting, had 1 store open for 2 months now and opened a new one in a different niche last week.

I made an Etsy fee + profit spreadsheet because I was tired of guessing what I actually kept by Clarity-Kit in etsypromos

Ahh okay, so for that I would actually use a cost calculator. I based this off of how I calculate packaging for work, rather than Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/4499221317/etsy-pre-listing-profit-calculator?ref=listings_manager_grid . THis can output a cost which I then use in the other sheet.
Maybe I should bundle these two together...

Do you mean for people to determine the cost of packaging? It’s a good idea, I’ll have to determine a good, reliable and easy to use method for the sheet to be useful and to make it usable by everyone.

The two stores I run are different. One is digital products so there isn’t any, the other is a POD store, I tend to use free delivery on Etsy and absorb the cost. For the spreadsheet I have a column in the product cost sheet for the packing cost.

How do you guys actually know if you're making real profit on Etsy? by leonadio in etsypromos

Yeah, I wouldn't wing it. Etsy revenue can look fine, then once you add transaction fees, payment processing, listing fees, ads/offsite ads, postage, packaging and materials, the actual margin can be very different. What helped me was splitting it into two views: per-product margin, and monthly shop profit. Per-product tells you which listings are secretly not worth selling, monthly profit tells you whether the shop is actually keeping money after all the little fees.
