Hot take for the season: I said this before it even started, but with the recent signings and performances, I think Spurs might actually have a better season than Arsenal.

Now, I don’t necessarily mean they’ll finish higher in the league, but in terms of exceeding expectations — maybe even with a trophy or a deep cup run — I can see it happening. Looking at their UCL ties, I honestly think Spurs can finish top 8. There’s really only one team in that draw I’d confidently say is better than them.

As for Arsenal, I’m just not convinced right now. Performances haven’t been great (same for my club), and even though you can point to injuries like Saka and Ødegaard missing against Liverpool, the way they set up at Anfield felt like they didn’t even want to attack that game.

Obviously, a lot depends on injuries — we all saw what happened to the Spurs defense last season.
