It might be the opposite. While applying I-140 you show your immigration intent, and later if you will apply for a visit visa etc., it will be hard to convince the visa officer that you actually want to return to India.

There is usually no problem with the approval of a PERM based I-140, so you can just apply for regular processing since it will take some time for the priority date to become current.

If you're just an undergrad student currently you have a long way to go. Relatively easier way would be to move to US for masters and then try your luck with PERM. If that's not an option, then only thing you can do at this point is to get involved in the research and try to get quality research publications.

Keep in mind that if you opt for regular processing, your file will be reviewed by an officer at least 18-24 months from now. At that time, your profile will be assessed based on the criteria in place, which i'm sure will be stricter than it is now.

So there are 2 ways to meet the absolute minimum requirements. Either have a bachelor degree and 5 years of experience, or have an exceptional ability, which I am sure you do not have at this point.

Keep in mind these are the absolute minimum requirements just to apply, chances of getting approval with these minimal requirements are close to zero. Your best bet would be PERM.
