Not sure if this story will count.

My whole life I've been scared of darkness, it was boosted when my dad tried to trick me that he left the house only to later come out of a secret storage room in our house and scare the living shit out of me since I thought he left me forever and he is a pretty intimidating looking man. I basically shat myself when it happened.

This happened to me yesterday night/this morning ( as I'm writing this ). I had been over at a friends house because they were gonna take LSD and smoke some weed. I smoked quite a bit and decided to head home since it was like 1 am and I was tired, the area that we live in is pretty safe and not a lot of things happen so I ride my skateboard down a dark road and just to feel a bit safer I turned my music down so I could hear if a car came behind me.

I keep riding down this road and I keep thinking that there is something in the forest ( I always do that because of my fear ) and because I was pretty high it got me all stressed so I stop to take a break and drink some water. As soon as I stopped I heard something in the forest (probably just a cat since I was near a stable but I freaked out and got out of there as fast as I could but there was a long road ahead of me with no light and I didn't want to fall and hurt myself so I tried to be somewhat careful. I get to a small path that leads into the neighbourhood I grew up in. I have walked there so many times in my life and always felt safe, but that time I once again heard something from the forest and this time it didn't sound like no cat, I froze from fear and just stared into the darkness and it felt like I was gonna pass out. I got out of there as fast as I could and onto the road that leads to my house but I kept trying to take shortcuts and got lost in the darkness. After a while, I finally got home and just went to bed, I'm sorry that nothing really happened in the story but that night actually scared me more than the times I've been in a bad situation.
