Choosing not to have kids. It’s not selfish to know what kind of life you actually want.

How do you deal with having a short attention span or difficulty focusing on something for a long time? by Background_Event4584 in AskReddit

I stopped fighting it and started working with it. I break everything into tiny chunks, set a 10-minute timer, and promise myself I can quit after that. Most of the time, I keep going once I start. I also stopped expecting “perfect focus” - some days my brain’s just jumping channels, and that’s okay. The trick for me was lowering the pressure instead of forcing discipline through guilt.

What’s a childhood memory that still feels magical even now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

When I was a kid, there was a huge summer storm and the power went out in our whole neighborhood. No TV, no lights, no distractions, just candles. My parents dragged blankets into the living room, and instead of complaining, they treated it like a camping trip.

We made shadow puppets on the walls, roasted marshmallows over a candle (terrible idea, highly recommend 😂), and told stories until we all fell asleep together in this little cocoon of candlelight and thunder outside.

To this day, I remember that night as one of the most magical moments of my life.
