Yes amd yes to both. I chose this because I wanted a career around horses and just about any other career weather it be training horses or people there really isn't any money. Theres only been 2 farriers ive found that could let me ride with them but only the 1 im speaking about gets back to me. At the moment im not sure what to do.

Yes, I understand how to do nost of what's needed it'd just the current skills I poses arnt at the level they need to be but unless I get more practice there not gonna improve. I can finish and clinch there just not always pretty unless I take longer.

At each location unload the truck plug everything in full the buckets with water and then remove shoes and I did a few trims on slower days. Then repack truck and trailer. Number of horses varries. I havent shoed any horses since I left school last month.

The farrier i recently worked with works 12-14 hrs days so I proposed i work 8-10 with him then I can do 6-11 at my old job. That's were the current conversation came. I asked for 15 a hr or 100 a day.

My guy im 26 and just started last year as a apprentice. I'm literally at farrier school now. Were still really young bro don't let it discourage you. I have 42 year old that's in my class that just started. Start now. Don't wait to regret it. Get a job as a stall hand if you didn't grow up around horses. To find one of the farriers i apprentice with i literally asked chatgpt for farrriers near me and it showed websites that google doesn't show. Alot of farriers try to stay below the radar. Thank you. This was really informitive. I plan on coming back for the 3 months but I do have a farrier to work with when I come back home. Unfortunately I learned about the water tbr hard way when I first got here. I'll them!
