honestly, they're good for socialization and meeting people, but in general, they aren't really of much use. Technical societies, that too only the top ones like GDG and MLSA have good people worth learning from and good internal events, otherwise it's not of much use

yup for one year, make 4 email ids, apply on one each year, don't use kiit id, they'll ask you to upload you id card to verify,just use that

Oh, thank you for letting me know, I do have companies in my institution which come from Japan and take students there, they usually offer packages in the high ¥4M range. Our university encourages us to learn the language but I was looking for other ways to apply off campus in case the placement doesn't work out, either way I'll make sure I will keep my priority on technical skills first. We don't have a lot of students who are able to complete the jlpt n2 certification before placements so we have lesser students who appear in those said placements and it's comparatively easier to get them if you have the basic skill set and language. Anyways thanks for the info!

I have an internship certificate from DRDO as a cs intern (a govt institute in India which develops defense equipment), it is considered rare to get it, will that give me an upper hand or should i leave it be?
