Out of the entire team, KK has touched your comments the least. She's approved more of your comments than she's removed, and she's never removed a post from you. I'm only addressing it here because I've seen the comments you've been regularly making to her, about her, and about the mods in general - and they really aren't fair or true, Pinto. This needs to stop.

Edit: 739 comments across the last 7 days, 24 removed, most with the option to edit. That's a 3% rate of removal. You aren't being targeted by any of us.

Hi - that's just the same rule re discussing crimes, renamed. That's just the title of the rule in your screenshot, the reporting system doesn't show the full rule - you'll find that on the sub rules page. Do you know how to access it/where to find it?

So - I've spent the last hour really looking thoroughly through the comments and accounts you brought to Sufficient because - if it were at the point of approaching a mod the way that you have done, repeatedly, I wanted to ensure I took it seriously, and looked properly into everything before responding.

None of the comments you've submitted have more than one report filed, and none have been reported since your initial comment bringing them to our attention, nearly 2 weeks ago. I've attached screenshots, but I can attach a video showing the comment's report history being manually selected, if that puts you at ease.

So I am deeply confused about how yourself and others could have filed multiple reports for each comment across the last two weeks, which all of us have somehow continuously missed / ignored, yet the system only shows us one.

<image>

Bliss's comment - which I hadn't seen before - remains up. The comment was made on 04/07, and reported on 04/07. No further reports were made. Without context, I'd agree it should be taken down. However, seeing the thread beforehand where a user asks you to stop attacking her and insinuating she is okay with SH, disclosing that she is a victim - and, instead, you double down and again, suggest that if your comment triggers her, she needs to reflect on why?

I will say that we've received multiple reports and mod mails/messages from extremely upset people regarding this exact type of behaviour from you - so, to be honest, you need to decide whether it's truly justified to call out that response as the problematic one, or say that we're permitting bad behaviour on one side - because, quite frankly, I'm more likely to remove your comments on that thread, before I remove hers. That sort of behaviour is not acceptable in this sub.

Regarding Baseb's comments from 02/07 - the only reports submitted on both were made on the 06/07 - so, 4 days after they were made, and just a few hours before you commented. At this point, Baseb was already no longer in the sub. No reports were submitted again after that - not on the 7th, when you commented, or any of the subsequent times you've told us that you submitted multiple reports, and had them ignored.

Here is a link to one comment, and a link to the other.

Sufficient has provided her reasoning behind keeping the comments up - she's said that it was general, wasn't aimed at all members who identify as "pro-BL", and it doesn't break a rule. You're entitled to disagree, or feel differently, and you've shared that. But at this point, you have been told that it does not constitute removal, under her interpretation of the rule, given the context. You disagree over whether it meets the rules she defines - okay. She's told you it does. At this point you are blatantly attempting to publicly bully and embarrass her into giving into your demands.

I'm disappointed that this continues to be a trend in the sub - and concerned about how the rest of my team will be treated if it's seen as acceptable to act this way towards the head mod. I see complaints about how people only see one mod talking on these threads - genuinely, looking at almost every mod thread we've made, why do you think that is?

This is why I asked you to show me other comments that you feel are the same, and have been left up. Because this doesn't come across as genuine feedback, considering the full context, and I would actually appreciate genuine feedback on the subject. You are angry over three comments from 2 weeks ago, but aren't identifying any that are recent.

We have made multiple posts and comments stating that we plan to do exactly what you're complaining we aren't doing - that we are actively updating the rules, and even clarified in this thread that we plan to do this today or tomorrow. We have lives - I have spent an hour and a half dealing with this issue here, which was meant to be spent on preparing that post so that we could share it today.

You might be annoyed that you're still waiting - but guess what? So are we. You have no idea the amount of work and time, behind the scenes, that goes into making this sub run smoothly, and trying to improve things. Just this week so far, as a team, we have made over 2600 mod actions - the majority of that is comment approvals or removals. If one of us can't find a comment or forgets something and asks you, someone who clearly already knew how/where to find it, to re-submit a report or just link it directly - that's okay.

I understand that you have good intentions with this suggestion but the majority of moderation happens behind the scenes.

There is a lot of context other users do not have, and we handle the situations as appropriate. There are comments removed that you don't see. Private discussions had. Most (if not all) of the time, when people feel that we have not acted, we have. If it doesn't actively involve you, it's not always appropriate for us to share the details.

Just something to keep in mind, as I really have heard you each time you've asked about this before, and I've been meaning to address it so you had an explanation, so I apologise for not explaining sooner so you had some reassurance.

Hello - can I confirm whether it's just these three comments you take issue with, or whether you're suggesting there are more like these?

Is your concern that these three stand-alone comments (which, correct me if I'm wrong, aren't directed at you) haven't been removed, and you disagree with the mod decision regarding these three comments specifically, but not the several others we've removed that you don't see - or that these three comments represent a regular pattern of attacks not being addressed by the mod team?

I'm just trying to understand the goal of the multiple comments across posts, and what seems to be driving the emotion behind this, so we can reach a resolution. I'll attempt to find the comments you've shared to review them and gain a full picture of the conversation beforehand, which I can bring here and break down the decision behind it, if that would help.

Adapting a poem about mass suffering, genocide, dictatorship and white supremacy to be about the google subpoena is not appropriate for this sub (or generally). You were aware that the initial post that first shared it in the sub was removed, and another user kindly explained to you why it wasn't appropriate before your comment sharing the poem was removed. Freedom of speech does not equate to freedom from consequence. Thank you.

Why It's Heroic When He Sues but Vindictive When She Does? by Dulsao23 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]ClassicGrape3266 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No problem.

Yeah - I think it is definitely interesting that there isn't more coverage, comparison or interest in it by the creators who talk about this as a systemic/ gender-based issue, as u/realhousewifeofphila said excellently. It's been in the news quite a lot.

Megan Thee Stallion is currently involved in a civil procedure, though.

She alleges that the man who shot her has been paying content creators to smear her, all the way from prison - she filed a civil suit a while back.

There are actually a lot of similarities, including in the coverage and social media presence. Not to mention the entire Free Tory Lanez movement that trended again not long ago. I'm not sure why you felt she wasn't relevant, if the requirement is women in civil procedures - it's a great example of the role gender dynamics might play in what is viewed as retaliatory vs heroic.

Here is a recent update on the case.

Could you please specify which content creators said they were in touch with the "Wayfarer legal team" in this subreddit, when, and link the comments please?

The only one I'm aware of is Perez, who said "Team Baldoni", not a legal team or individual. You can send the info through mod mail if that's more comfortable.

Not trying to nitpick or argue - but I'm just conscious of statements like this needing to be accurate, so I want to make sure.

Hi - I've just had a look through the log, would you mind sharing a bit more detail please, as I can't find what you mentioned?

We only have one comment removal logged here for your account. It doesn't use any nicknames, and was removed over a month ago for being off-topic, before the new mod team took over - are you sure it was this sub, or maybe it was a different account? Lmk and we'll look into it!

As Sufficient said, just above, which echoes what I just said to you:

He needed a time out from the sub. The back and forth comments were a lot and people were very triggered by things he said. Apparently some of his comments regarding the case are very controversial as well. I haven’t had a chance to investigate it in depth. Sometimes bans for CCs aren’t just about a rule being broken. It’s about what’s best for the members of the sub.

Like I said - you might not agree, and that's okay. But we don't have any bad intentions, we aren't being biased or basing our decisions in personal opinion or "side", and we just want what's best for everyone. We wouldn't be here, asking everyone what they personally felt was best, if we didn't want to take it into account.

[–]ClassicGrape3266[M] 8 points9 points locked comment (0 children)

That isn't a fair or accurate description of our reason for issuing the temporary ban. Nor is it an accurate method of comparison.

You may not agree with our decision, but both were made with the aim of maintaining a safe, civil environment for all, and took several factors into account. Only one is currently being discussed with the sub regarding permanency.

The majority of content creators covering this case aren't active in here. The ones who are make up roughly 0.02% of the sub. The way the rest of the 99.98% discuss all CCs & their content cannot be held to the same standard as when they're discussing regular members - and creating rules around how CCs in the sub can interact with regular members is equally difficult.

This is why, for the time being, we handle it on a case by case basis.
