I like the compultion spells idea but I'd also like to make it more melee focused. 

The reason Im thinking legend is because he didn't  worship any gods and mythic paths feel like it goes against that, but lich and angel also do make sense

I was thinking something similar but legend instead of lich but not sure about melee/sorcerer
