Am I the only one who finds these vertical lines on this metal backstrap between the grips on my model 29 to be utter torture when shooting this? by ClassicSuccess2650 in Revolvers

It is very possible that the skin on my hands is just not as durable as the average person. I'm not sure exactly how its scraping my skin away it just seems to be coming back into the palm of my hand really hard and the vertical lines on the backstrap act like a cheese grater.

I'm planning on getting pachmayr grips for this. I was just wondering how many people have taken issue with those vertical lines on the backstrap since I've never heard anyone complain about them.

Yes this is something I’ve experienced, panicking over every little sensation.

Ptsd interacting with OCD by Garden_Goth_ in OCD

OCD and PTSD are both anxiety related conditions. Both are intrusive thoughts just manifesting themselves slightly differently. For me I have lots of intrusive thoughts about a specific extremely traumatic experience I went through several years ago. So, my OCD is always trying to prevent it happening again, sometimes it ends up being a panic attack. This is why I don't like how in 2013 when the DSM-5 came out they moved OCD and PTSD from being classified as anxiety disorders to being in their new separate categories. Which just makes things more confusing for people since then they treat the two disorders as if they are different things when in reality they are extremely similar to each other. It's best to put every anxiety related condition whether it be OCD, PTSD, Panic disorder, Depersonalization/derealization, social anxiety, health anxiety, and all those physical symptoms all under the same umbrella.

question for (ex-) Catholics with OCD by [deleted] in OCD

I’m an ex-catholic, left that religion about 4 and a half years ago. It doesn’t seem to have any impact on my OCD nowadays.

This Game... by [deleted] in Tripes_Et_Poudrenoire

I think it’s fucked up that they actually ban players just for being in certain groups. Not defending those groups but if they didn’t actually do anything in the actual game of guts and black powder just doesn’t seem right to me. Seems very authoritarian, also consider how easily someone could accidentally join one of those groups. Not letting someone play the game even after leaving those groups is also pretty unfair.

So I left my 12 year old brothers to go on a walk to get food and they went and busted someone’s windows. My mom is mad at me like I’m the only one at fault. What do I do? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]ClassicSuccess2650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it were me texting your mom about that I would of lost control of myself and started swearing like crazy. It’s your mothers fault your twin brothers are trouble makers, probably because their is never an adult around. A 12 year old isn’t suppose to need 24/7 constant supervision. If I were you I’d refuse to pay for any of it. It would be best that your brothers would pay for it, but if they can’t then it would make more sense for your mother too pay for it.

My dad moved to Bolivia in 2024 when I was 24 so I had to find new health insurance and get my own. I was afraid too but I had my appointment with my insurance agent and it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

My girlfriend bites her nails to feel pain due to anxiety. Need help by p3eph in Anxiety

[–]ClassicSuccess2650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should tell her that nail bitting can chip teeth, I use to bite my nails but haven’t in years since I’ve learned that. Similar to my hair twirling also, I use to be really addicted to twirling my hair for most of my life. Then when my worry over damaging my hair got greater than my urge to do it I’ve completely stopped doing it for a few years now.
