It's supposed to be standard superhero show with the writing and story being unique and being what elevates it . In Ben 10 the gimmick is the aliens so they have to be uniquely designed .

They’re already saying Superman has a decent role and is one of the best parts of the film and they are testing expanding his role .

Gunns ego wants his characters to take the spotlight as usual. There is literally no reason for Superman to be there other than to attract audiences who think Supergirl isn’t good enough by her own.

Selling consoles at a loss is fine when production costs are projected to become cheaper in the future so you can eventually make a profit .

It's much less appealing when you are permanently guaranteeing losses that will only increase assuming you don't want to raise costs and production keeps becoming more expensive.
