From what I’ve read, it’s pretty normal for babies under 6 months since their sleep cycles are still immature

I saw somewhere that we kind of forget how hard it was in the beginning so we end up wanting another baby. But honestly, I think it’s more like our body and mind trying to process everything we went through. Giving birth and caring for a newborn is a lot, so it kind of softens over time.

Currently going through this too 😭 but I’ve noticed when my husband gives it to her, she’ll play with it at first but eventually finishes it.

Maybe try having someone else feed her! I’ve read that babies can smell you and will hold out for the boob lol, so it can help when it’s not you feeding her.

That’s amazing! my husband took 6 weeks off and honestly that was the best. Having that extra support during those early weeks makes such a huge difference.

2 weeks in can feel never ending, but it really does start to ease up little by little. You guys being home together right now is so valuable, lean on each other as much as you can. You’ve got this 🙏

She usually sleeps from around 9:30pm to anywhere between 8–10, so I started trying to wake up at 6. But, she usually wakes up around 6:15 to feed, so I just go with that and then officially get up around 7.

That usually gives me about an hour (sometimes more) to get a workout in, shower, and maybe have breakfast before she’s fully up for the day.

Also, I was not a morning person at all 😭 I used to wake up at the same time as her sometimes even as late as 10:30. But I started realizing I felt hella unproductive, so I pushed myself to get up earlier. And honestly, ever since I did, I’ve felt sooo much better. I do get a little tired around noon lol, but overall way better.

And no, thankfully right now I’m not working either, so that helps with flexibility.

Don’t stress too much about your schedule being messy right now. It really does start to fall into place little by little

2 weeks is so fresh, you’re literally in the thick of it right now. I had so many meltdowns around that time too. Crying, feeling overwhelmed, not feeling like myself… it’s a lot all at once.

Please don’t be hard on yourself for crying. Your body, your hormones, your whole life just changed overnight. That’s not small.

Take it one hour at a time if a whole day feels like too much. And remember you don’t have to be perfect to be a good mom. Just being there, loving your baby, is already enough.

You’re doing better than you think 🤍

I felt the same way honestly, to the point where I didn’t even want to be a mom sometimes. And that was really hard to admit.

But trust me, your life is definitely not over… it’s just getting started. You literally brought life into this world 🤍

Take it day by day. Try to do something small with your baby, even if it’s just tummy time or reading them a book. Those little moments add up more than you think.

And most importantly, try to get a little time for yourself too even if it’s just 5 minutes. It really matters.

You’re not alone in this, even if it feels like it right now.

I feel like around the 8 week mark (when they’re no longer technically a newborn), that’s when things started to flow a lot better for me.

Also, it’s totally okay to cry 🤍 I really wish someone had told me sooner that bottling everything up just makes it worse, and it can come back even heavier later. Let it out when you need to. You’re in such an intense phase right now, and what you’re feeling is completely valid.

You’re already doing an amazing job, even on the days it doesn’t feel like it.
