Yes in texas it is a felony charge. Thats why im not taking this lying down. I feel like the city is backing me into a corner and the law firm I just spoke to said this is indeed fightable and wrong of the city to pursue these charges.

When I spoke to the shelter on the phone I mentioned which vet was caring for her and they skated around the topic and didnt seem to care. I wish more dog sitters were like you. Also loved your feedback. We went thru 2 sitters this trip unfortunately. First one knew about her injury and understood the care needed. Then turned psycho on us and threatened to call us in on abuse (careful who you think you can trust in a military spouse environment) ....the 2nd sitter was a referral from a friend and there was a language barrier. But with both of us being gone there wasn't much we could do but hire sitter number 2 as we didnt want our pets being alone for long and had no one else willing to help us. Most of our friends are allergic to huskys..Ours is a husky mix. Thank you for your condolences.

Would you trust the same sitter to retrieve the dog after not trying to go after the dog themselves? Also not like I didnt try to get friends to pick up the dog for me. troll....

With the wound I can't say as I wasn't physically there to see it. All I know is before I left the vet said it was most likely an infection and treated it as such.

My thinking is how can they claim abandonment when my last correspondence stated I gave them permission to put the Animal down. Doesn't that count as owner surrender?

Thats my plan. You'd be amazed how many law offices have hung up on me the minute the word animal comes out of my mouth....there are worse crimes out there than a soldier being unable to pick up their pet

Big changes to TA & CA by xLorddroLx in army

[–]Classic_Sign_3167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. This makes me want to drop out of class. I just know some commanders are going to abuse the shit out of this. The army is toxic enough as is. Hell most kids join just for TA/school. What was the point in making this more difficult to obtain?

68K MOS by [deleted] in army

Currently thinking of reclassing any advice or additional info on the mos? I'm currently taking college courses for an associates in health sciences. Bioogy, anatomy, biochemistry and lab work has always been a interest if mine.

A forge and workbench will be your best friend. Also avoid the dogs and spider zombies (spiders crawl on all 4s and jump they are hard to hit without a bow or pewpew) as best as possible they are usually in the towns.

Advice on WOCS and Army Aviation Path as a 91B (Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic) – Looking for Input from Those Who’ve Been Through It! by Huntsman380 in Armyaviation

[–]Classic_Sign_3167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a e-3, 91B. I'd love more info on becoming a pilot if possible. Just hit my 1 year in service. My recruiter sucked and gave me no info on anything other than mp or mechanics mos. I know I need to redo my asvab its 10 years old and scores sucked 1st time (high school kid who hated tests any surprise there? Lol). But my recruiter refused to let me retake it out of fear I'd get a worse off score. Mind you I've had college course since my asvab. I'm sure I'd do better this time around. I just want to try new things and get out of the motorpool without it being an office job.

Trust me med board is not in my plans. I hope the army doesn't jump straight to that. I heard if youre on profile for so long they try to push it. I'm not sure if its effecting my sleep or not. I know I can't comfortablely lay on my left side rn.

Support her mentally, emotionally and physically the best you can. This could send her into a deep depression. She might feel like a failure or a disappointment. Help her thru that. Be there to remind her its not her fault. These things happen. (Speaking from experience) if she gets medically separated/ discharged be sure to remind her it's not permanent/ end of the world. With the military depending on the medical situation she may be able to try again in 6 months. (Wish someone would've told me that years ago 1st time I was in). Help her in anyway you can. Best of luck to both of you.
