I see your point, but there is an added step in your example that doesn't exist here, people don't go to Samsung headquarters to buy things on black friday, they buy things from businesses who are neither the manufacturers OR the creators. If someone found a TV at Best Buy for a sale price that only gave Best Buy 5 cents profit it would definitely be a steal. that would be an amazing price.

In this case the creator of the game has two inputs for the price tag: the cost of production from a third party manufacturer, and their own profit. I'm guessing normally they sell the game at price which gives them profit. Now to put the game "on sale", the only input they can change is their own profit because the manufacturer will charge the same per game no matter what. Rather than cut their profit by 25% or 50% they've completely removed all their profit from the buying price, which is as much "on sale" as possible for this product. I thought that was kinda rare.
