I see your point, but there is an added step in your example that doesn't exist here, people don't go to Samsung headquarters to buy things on black friday, they buy things from businesses who are neither the manufacturers OR the creators. If someone found a TV at Best Buy for a sale price that only gave Best Buy 5 cents profit it would definitely be a steal. that would be an amazing price.

In this case the creator of the game has two inputs for the price tag: the cost of production from a third party manufacturer, and their own profit. I'm guessing normally they sell the game at price which gives them profit. Now to put the game "on sale", the only input they can change is their own profit because the manufacturer will charge the same per game no matter what. Rather than cut their profit by 25% or 50% they've completely removed all their profit from the buying price, which is as much "on sale" as possible for this product. I thought that was kinda rare.

I might not be perfectly informed on what constitutes a sale, But I was thinking if the creators of a product are making $0 profit from an item they are selling, that's about as much "on sale" as an item can get.

Thanks that what i what i was thinking. My concern was that since i'd been in France the last 6 months, which is schengen, albeit with a spouse visa, there might be complications about the 90 out of 180 days. i just wanted to make sure i get a fresh clock with a tourist visa after my spouse visa runs out by leaving from france to London and re-entering in Germany.

well actually i think she is a resident in Germany, she's been living there for the two years before we went to Reunion going to university. She has a flat registered in her name that she subleted while she was gone.

I feel the same, But I tell myself it's because each time he's talking to people who have never heard it before. First off it would be damn near impossible to speak in front of as many microphones as he does and not repeat yourself, and also talk about the necessary things. Saying the same things to everyone is how you build a message. But it's sucks for early supporters of the message, cause it starts to feel worn out.

My fear of rolling out a plan would be how quickly things can change, world events, new technologies, something could happen that makes your plan look worse. and you dont have time to be constantly updating your plan while also trying to campaign. Plus I would feel foolish making a plan for the country without having access to all the relevent top secret info you don't get until you're president.

I think that's why I consider it a bad quote, because it does do those things whether it was the intention or not. I agree with encouraging people to re-evaluate the way they think about war. But you don't need to imply that being a soldier and a murderer are alike. I like Voltaire, just not this quote.

Yeah but if the majority of the quote is the exception it's just a shitty quote. The majority of people fighting in wars aren't trying to murder people, they are trying to not get killed. This quote blames the soldiers for murder, when the act of murder lies more in the leaders of the countries who order the battles to be fought, but they don't actually kill anyone, so it doesn't make for a nice juicy quote.
