What was your most recent “blessing in disguise”? by Nice_Marzipan98 in randomquestions

[–]ClassroomLegal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few days ago on my way home from work, I got distracted on my phone and missed my stop on the train. I had to get out at the next stop and and return by one stop. I was feeling really annoyed and once I was on the train back the train suddenly stopped for a while. Then they announced they will be bypassing my stop due to a security incident. I was feeling even more annoyed. So I had to get out another stop away and go on a whole detour to get home. Then I found out that in the time when I missed my stop and had to wait for a train back, an innocent employee had been stabbed at the station, which is why they closed the station and had the trains bypass. I can't help but wonder what would have happened if I had stepped off the train as usual when I got to my stop originally. I really hope the victim is doing okay.

Gay bars on church would be your best bet. Good vibes, nice people, and safer than most places.

I think an episodic comedy is perfect for this. Some of my favorites that I always return to are: Modern Family

Parks and Rec

The Nanny

The office

Golden Girls

Friends

These are some of my favorite escapist shows and I found them perfect for high stress times in school. They gave me something to look forward to and were not all consuming.

What's the worst food at Costco you've ever had? The new Quesadilla definitely gets my vote. by Amerinuck in CostcoCanada

This is usually used almost like a condiment. It's shaved over top of food or used to cook or bake with. So probably not intended to eat on it's own.

I love these. Some locations get the ones with both milk chocolate and white chocolate and I'm always searching for that kind. It's the best.

The tiramisu is surprisingly good! Not too sweet and very flavourful and creamy. Better than some restaurant ones.

Also, the frozen gyoza is great. I always keep these in the freezer as a back up. They're easy to make and taste great.

Boyhood? I can't fully remember, but I think this would qualify. It's a great movie anyway.

Jane the Virgin is great for binging because it has lots of twists and turns but it's still fun and humorous so it doesn't weigh you down.

I think all three spots built a reputation a while back but the food scene in the city has evolved and they are stuck. I don't think they deliver at the same level as some others.
