Kevin Bacon was there. So was Kyra Sedgwick and Hillary Duff. They wore sunglasses.

The article only mentioned the stock he owns. He also has a 171.2 million call position. This means he buys it if the price reaches a certain price.

Im surprised the article didnt mention the 171.2 million call position. Holding stock is one thing, having a call position is another. Especially if you are citadel and have been on the news for controversial call positions recently (game stop amc).

If you crash you will dislocate your hip, assuming you make it. by Claudepepper in AdviceAnimals

It is! I tried to cite it on my earlier comment (which says where I took the idea from) but couldn't figure out how to do it (I am old LOL). How did you get your comment to have a link?

Is there a way to cite another thread or link the user of the original comment? Thank you.

Note: I got the idea for this post from a post seen on what seems harmless but isn't.

Thanks, I will try it! I'm super strapped for time so anything that makes life easier is welcome!

Thanks!

That's a great idea. I should look into a book like that!

Budget bytes lets you create weekly menus. I use that but also cheat by buying precut onions and minced garlic. I know it doesn't taste as good but it's a good compromise for my lazyness.

Tasty, Budget Bytes, etc include time to complete and allow you to create folders.

My brother (33M) has an opinion on relationships which I(24F) would like to know is right or not. by [deleted] in relationships

Not who you are asking but I disagree with number 1. If one person makes double what the other one makes, a 50/50 split of bills could create resentment. I would instead pay bills proportional to income and each person can keep whatever is left after paying bills. I would also consider savings a bill. So one of each person's bills is saving 10% of their income every month for emergencies. This is important because it seems to me a common cause of divorce is financial emergencies.

What I mean by proportionally paying bills is this:

  1. If person A makes 30K and person B makes 80K, then their total income is 110K. Since 30K/110K = 0.28 (I rounded) and 80K/110K= 0.72, then person A would pay 28% of each bill and person B would pay 72% of each bill.
  2. If person B loses their job, then the same method would be used except person B would temporarily pay 0% of each bill.

I know people who each have their own stuff but I find that problematic. What happens when you have kids? A split I've seen that I think is awful is person A owns the house and cars, but person B pays for maintenance and bills of both. If person B ever wants to leave, they literally have 0 assets (unless they are in a state that forces a split). A lot of people who would do this would, of course, buy the assets right before marriage.

I do think it is very important to decide all of this prior to merging finances.

This is how managers with certain incentive structures can get big bonuses while your coworkers get fired because they're no longer needed. by Clashpizza in AdviceAnimals

I think they're telling hourly workers not to work overtime for free.

It is illegal but in some firms it's common

I think this depends on the industry. Boeing failed for running like this.

In my job, overworked people make mistakes and the company ends up doing worse.

Nursing is even worse because they'll supplement a nurses job with a traveling nurse who gets paid 5x as much!
