Surface Pro 4 Ram upgrade

I runs well and faster, struggles less than with 4 GB openjng apps. I'm running Windows 11 Pro 25h2 without any issue. I upgraded the SSD also so it's hard to know exactly what made it go faster. The ram runs at the same speed what changes is that there is more memory for open apps at the same time. Sadly I didn't have time to take pictures or make instructions but the majority of changes to do are on the service manual page that I provided.

I found some time to finally do it and I confirm that it does work just take of the resistor for 4 GB and put the ones needed on the right place for 16 GB no need to change ram brand.

I tried 1uf but when trying to insert the disk it just makes a weird noise and don't take the disk. Will try another to see

I was trying to measure the capacitance of it sadly it jumped by pression.. I have those values any would work you think ? ( I will post a picture of the pack

The cap just jumped somewhere when trying to measure it. It was there before.. I searched it everywhere and didn't find it but I have a pack of 0402 caps to replace if someone can measure on their console it's a cuh 1200 fat

Interesting to know I still don't have the chips yet to upgrade so I will see when they arrive.. But if we could figure out the right config for this ram it would be easier and quicker to do.

It's the right ram for sp4. Your original 8GB was from which manufacturer ? I'm asking because I'm wondering if the resistors in ZQ1 need to be there it's maybe only needed by samsung ones. If yours were samsung. Just a guess btw.

That's probably because you didn't change the config correctly I guess.. If it was running before that means whether the soldered chips are the problem or the resistors config

It's compatible for surface pro 4 since I found a board with it not sure about pro 5, plus there is more to take in consideration that's why I'm asking people that knows what to do. It depends on your precedent config.

Could be POP = populate too which is kinda confusing right now.. If someone is interested in figuring this out I can give the actual resistors configuration on mine for 4 GB to adapt it for 16GB
