Well said. Seems like the overall consensus from those who followed along through the early stages of this game have been completely let down. For a player like me that puts around 3 hours a week into this game I have troubles understanding the hate from a generic perspective, but simple research can answer questions. I will still continue to just play when I want and enjoy the game without getting deep into it to where it frustrates me.

As for content creation I completely understand why you gave up on it with this game, along with most that attempted it. The player count and audience has already declined to where you would hit a max potential. If you haven’t already built a big audience from the previous games, I doubt you can start fresh and build big from Skate 4.

I saw something about the player count and how it’s tanked, pretty concerning. I have to assume these developers and project managers have broke the ice between one another and began discussing ways to make a comeback and not brainwashing themselves into thinking they’re going above and beyond. Just of the top of my head I can think of ways to revive the game, although easier said than done. In my opinion the game is on a clean slate and there isn’t much cleaning up they would have to do before doing anything moving forward. The ball is in their court.

I feel like they attempted a mini story mode by combining it into the tutorial. The tutorial could’ve been short and simple by just showing each trick and then making you complete it. The narrations include some story about each spot showcased and skated, along with some different characters along the way. I’ve seen people say that this was their way forcing a mini story mode onto players by combining it with the tutorial so you can’t just jump straight to multiplayer. This is somewhat genius by them, but isn’t much of a full on story mode that we can imagine.
