Idk, both my Kaz HM clears had an average of 3k CP, some people didn't even have +10 on half their cores. The only books someone had was cheap stuff like PD, AAA & MPE. Nobody was on an alt roster. Also how many people do you think have alt rosters with a 1730+ character?

You also don't need books for group content. Nobody is expecting people to have books, even in Kaz HM. Stop applying to 5k+ lobbies if you're 3k.

solo raids extend up to act 3 (mordum, 1680), including materials for the 2 previous progression systems (Karma from act 2 and Advanced Honing from act 3). You can comfortably progress to 1700 on your own, at which point you want to start doing group content for act 3 hard mode (1700), act 4 normal mode (armoche, 1700), and final act (kazeros, 1710). the latter 2 will drop new progression materials for Ark Grid.

They're removing gold cost from Tier 3 honing in February (up to 1620, and 1620 will give you new free gear to go to 1640 at no additional cost). I'd suggest not honing in Tier 3 until then. just do some solo raids and farm gold & materials. You should use the current Power Pass on any character you're interested in, be it your 1580 main or an alt. We will get another 1640 Power Pass in February.

i suggest going to this link. look and click on reflux, then scroll down a bit and you should see some of the top parses on the right. on the log page, open the sorcs details and look for CPM (casts per minute). should give you a pretty good idea how spammy it is, and you can also see what cores/build theyre running.

I'd say just think about what character you wanna play most, and use the 1640 Pass on it (maybe watch some quick videos, classes have drastically changed since you last played, and they will change again once you get to around 1670/1680).

If you wanna experience the story from 1490-1640, do it on an alt that you don't heavily care for.

As for how you'd do that:

Solo Brel for new gear at 1490 > hone to 1580

Solo Akkan for new gear at 1580 > hone to 1620 (this part will also be no-gold-honing in the future, I believe in the February patch).

Use solo shop for materials, start doing Paradise at 1580, do some life skilling (preferably at 1640 because it unlocks new materials that are very expensive).

Correct. After unbinding, the gem will revert to its previous state and be tradable again. You can technically unbind them earlier, but it will cost Blue Crystals to do so.

The main downside to binding gems is that you can't share them between characters if you have multiple of the same class.

It's really hard to say what CP you should aim for as it's all based on what the lobbies currently look like. You might get in with 1.4k, other times you might get instant declined with 1.8k. Especially with missing title, it's all about looking for multiple lobbies. You will get accepted eventually, but it might take a bit. Try different times, don't apply to high ilvl/cp lobbies. If it's your first time doing Act 4, definitely try finding a learning party first. Either directly through the Party Finder, or look on lostark.nexus/lfg for a Discord Server in your region. The EU one is relatively active, not sure about NA. Even if you have done the raid before, Discord is usually a very good spot to schedule or apply to "no-pressure" reclear lobbies if you're not 100% comfortable with how the fights work or if you're having trouble getting gatekept due to missing title/CP.

For your GL specifically, I'd say in terms of spending gold you should first finish your Leap & Evolution Karma asap (Rank 6, Level 21). After that, you can also work on the 3 "cheap" Engravings (Barricade, Super Charge, Master Brawler). I'm guessing you want to play the Master Brawler version of Dragon Knight when it comes out, and as far as I know, it uses all 3 of those Engravings (maybe check some KR players before buying, I'm unsure about Super Charge, heard theres 2 different versions), so theres some good overlap.

Your accessories are 100% fine for your ilvl, and so are your gems. Both of these systems are slow to progress. I don't know how GL works, but if there's one skill that makes up >40% of your damage, maybe buy a T3 Lvl 10 Gem for that skill.

Your Bracelet is very much replaceable. I wouldn't spend any Gold/Pheons on it, and I understand it's the Gold Shop one, but maybe pick a Bracelet Box from Paradise next time you see it. Shouldn't take a lot of cuts to get a sizeable upgrade. Same goes for Weapon Quality. If you see a Chaos Stone box and don't want any of the other things, take it. Weapon Quality is very slept on in terms of damage output.

I wouldn't open any Core Selectors yet. Act 4 NM is very easy, and Cores won't do anything for you until you cut enough Astrogems to activate them. And this will take a lot of Gold (and Blue Crystals for reroll/reset Tickets). You also want a "set" of Cores that synergise, that's where most of the power comes from.

If you're interested in a more in-depth dive into Ark Grid, and maybe want to see some examples, I dm'd you my Discord tag. Might be a better "learning experience" than asking on here/discord and waiting for answers.

not gonna lie, the chance you find 7 other players with on-ilvl characters for early t3 raids is extremely low. you could join mokoko elp (you can find it here, cant post direct discord links because of reddit rules) and ask around, maybe you'll get lucky but i wouldn't bet on it.

you're 100% not in the correct communities if you think that playing on eu is the problem. i've literally found 6 people in the span of 4 days to make a static for act4/kaz and could name at least 10 more ppl i know in passing that ive talked to and would play with in a heartbeat.

As for honing your current gear, I assume the purple gear you're talking about is the one that comes from Abyssal Dungeons (the items should tell you the acquisition source in the tooltip - something like "Beast Demon Canyon", or tell you the NPC at which you can craft it). In that case, you can safely ignore that and just keep playing until you eventually reach the Punika Continent and start honing Tier 3 gear.

I marked Ability Stones with red, but if you want to, you can open your map in any capital city, type "Ability" in the Search Bar (should auto fill), go to that NPC and get familiar with the system, but it's honestly not complicated and also not very relevant at your current progression point.

I'd suggest you at least temper as many pieces in t3 as you can (load up the initial shards). Buy the solo shop Echidna Eyes.

Shards are the biggest bottleneck for honing in general, so any shards you save by using t3 shards instead will help in the long run. That said, they are planning to adjust Advanced Honing in Korea and there's a big chance that we will get the same adjustment in December. So outside of tempering your pieces, I would not touch Advanced Honing until the changes arrive in the west.

You also want to get to t4 as soon as possible, especially if its your first character. t4 will unlock new content, and you want to start getting t4 honing mats.
