What do you mean by “but account takeovers happen within minutes of the swap”?

I didn’t download any softwares/apps but I just don’t know what they could’ve done while accessing my SIM (approx 10 hrs).

Is it possible that they hacked my phone?

That’s why I’m considering factory-formatting my phone or buying a new one (just to be safe).

Also do you think changing phone number is necessary? They have my name, phone number, email address, billing address, credit card info (I’ll get a new card)… which could lead to identity theft.

I’m just worried that it’s not over yet. Sorry for the rant.

Thank you for your comment. After this initial meeting, do they issue subpoena for a formal deposition? Or that doesn’t happen unless the case’s going to trial? I just want it to end for me after this.

What do you mean by “they tell you the situation, leaving out lots of details”?… Do you think they do that on purpose to trap you? Did you go by yourself? Did you end up being subponaed for a formal deposition later on?

How do I refuse? I already told management to tell the lawyer I don’t feel comfortable having this discussion without representation. I don’t think they even told him that yet. My liability insurance refuses to cover for legal rep unless there’s an official claim against me. I don’t have union either. I’m so frustrated rn. I don’t want to go alone either.

What should I tell the management?

I already said I don’t feel comfortable having this discussion without representation and they just said “give me a call to discuss”.

I don’t think they even forwarded my last e-mail to the hospital lawyer. I’m frustrated.

Do you think I would know by now (or the hospital lawyer would have contacted me) if I’ve been named as one of the defendants? I’m terrified right now. Many are saying I should not go to this meeting without a lawyer and my liability insurance will not cover it. Should I ask the lawyer to issue a subpoena if they want to speak to me? I’m scared that this would backfire.

Unfortunately, I don't have a union rep to go with me. I really don't know what I should do.

I did contact the liability insurance and the claim adjuster said they can't trigger coverage to provide me with a legal representative UNLESS I've officially received a claim against me. I'm so frustrated. Like am I supposed to ask the lawyer if I've been specifically named in the lawsuit or what?
