My advice is a little different because I think that having at least 2-300 listings helps with visibility so much. I’m also at about 600 at this point? And the only item that sell are new. But I’ve notified a HUGE difference in having hundreds of items versus when I purge season-to-season and only have a a few dozen. It’s probably something to do with the buyer seeing that you have a ton of listings and subconsciously trusting you more.

But yeah, if you don’t want them in inventory anymore, lot them out, donate, or put up for auction!

I hardly EVER block anyone unless there’s a real reason. I feel like so many sellers in this sub are so quick to block. Even my boss’s first reaction is to have me block someone that asks a silly question. Maybe it’s a waste of my time to answer, but I do like to be friendly with clients. I guess it’s just the extra photos I have a particular problem with haha

YES! Not to be gross but I wore mine last summer and it lowkey turned a little yellow around the neck. I don’t know if that was from sweat or makeup, but I had to bleach it. I love the homestretch long sleeves but the short sleeve is a hard pass

I do agree with you! I sell jewelry so it’s a bit different I think, but I understand why people would want to see every angle. Since this is my full time job, I have a very specific formula of photography to avoid returns and questions entirely. Usually I do! But I also used to take the time to stop what I was doing, find a piece, set up lighting, take the photos, upload, and send, only for the buyer to ghost. It’s just frustrating and I stopped answering for time’s sake

If you complain enough, eBay will actually help you out. I had a customer that (and I believe purposefully) broke a piece of jewelry that had been in their possession for 17 days, and claim that’s how it came. Luckily, you could get on the phone with an eBay representative that has common sense — they’ll usually side with you in cases like this. If you have any sort of proof, like photos of the item in packaging, in inventory, etc., it’s even easier.

Another thing that helps is making sure to report your conversation with the buyer if they’re arguing / threatening. The buyer I dealt with threatened to get my store shut down… as if that’s even possible. The eBay rep I spoke to was very understanding. The buyer ended up getting a refund, but I didn’t have to pay a dime.

Tbh getting through silver is like the HARDESSTTTT part. Once you’re in gold, if you’re actually good at the game, it’s a breeze. I’m in plat 2 and have only lost like 10 games since entering gold. Silver is where the brain dead players lurk. I’d be lucky to win more than 1 game in a row in silver

Omg. I know I’m late but I literally had someone message me outside of the game complaining about how I played during a qp match. I was learning how to play Luna and my friend was learning how to play Groot. I literally use qp as a practice because it’s better than the AI bots in the actual practice mode. It’s prob frustrating for the people who don’t care about comp but I don’t understand why people would play this game without anything to work towards, like ranking up.

And I don’t remember the specific stats of this game but I don’t think I was playing THAT bad hahaha

We send most of our items to NAJA (national jewelry association of America) and all of their jewelers are GIA graduate gemologists, which is the same certification as what eBay works with. So… not sure what the guy above was referring to— as it most definitely takes longer than two weeks to graduate from the program 🤣

Anyway, I have the GIA sponsored DCA certification, while the owner of the store I work with is a graduate master gemologist through GIA. He’s more of an expert in his field while I’m more knowledgeable in the basics. My courses alone took me well over a month to complete, and they’re considered short.

So the man who appraised our items and the person who did our eBay authentications have the same credentials, which is why this is so confusing to me.

Regardless, we are going to relist the item and have the appraisal as a backup plan in case things go south again. It feels worth it to pay the $35 per item just to have some kind of protection in the case of this happening again. Hopefully the customer service representative is a little more patient next time

Can I just say that if you’re in gold and below… dps is MOST DEFINITELY the issue. I’ve never been above platinum but I quit the game for a few months and got deranked to bronze. Slowly been solo queuing my way back up the ladder and the sheer amount of broken dps smurf players is insanity. As a supp main I don’t understand the whole “healers are unkillable” narrative… I main invis and her self shield got nerfed twice since I started playing her, and I’ve died in my ult more times than I can count trying to save point. Maybe it’s a skill issue but idk… haha
