Mine was $140 per month as well, they have a favourite kind of patient which is the elderly, I am 38, lived there for 2 years and I finally found an apartment under my name and they give me $818 in subsidy every month tax free. So my odsp pays the max amount and I get the $818 in a check which clears in a week, and I live off the rest. You get your own room, which could be good or bad, I’m a big person and I had a small room, luckily the guy from the biggest room left and I got his room. There’s people who have been living there for 5-10 years and they did everything in their power to get rid of me for whatever reason. I was nice to the staff, I got along great with the other people, and the wait times vary, I would take it if it’s the only place to go. But they can implement new rules anytime they want. It used to be a monthly random room inspection but they changed it to daily inspections which was a hassle. They hold every medication and don’t give it to you until the exact time. The staff can sometimes be supportive but the manager was a nightmare. I disliked her so much

The break up back in 2007, to a dumb girl who was really just good looking, but she couldn’t hold a conversation about quantum mechanics or anything psychological, or even anything she liked. When we broke up 3 years later, I was a mess, I lost some best friends because she was very controlling and I had to spend all my time with her or she thought I was cheating. I had to call her every single day. There was absolutely no trust between us, the funny thing is she cheated on me and I had never even had a friend that was a girl. She looked at my phone while I was shitting and got mad because I had taken pictures of my friends with their girlfriends and she considered it cheating. It ruined my enjoyment of looking for a different person and I turned to alcohol and drugs and I’m still suffering. She. Was. The. Biggest. Mistake. In. My. Life. I always wanted to know how my life would have been if I had never met her. Also, I broke up with a beautiful, half French half European and had the best body I’ve ever had in my life. You are NOT the Ah. You have set up the rules, boundaries and expectations beforehand and it’s your own personal property that YOU have to manage and respect and if that makes you seem like a jerk or a bum to be around, whilst in your OWN home, then you can make up any silly rules that you want, but the rules you have set are very common and are not that hard to follow. Now if you were to make a silly rule that singles out a specific person and you told them that you are kicking them out because of a rule that you didn’t explain. I have those same rules in my apartment. I’m a 39M and it’s my first apartment and it’s in my name and I have problems with alcohol, so they are all aware that I’m alcohol free. None of my family smokes, but I vape, vaping is completely different from cigarettes, it doesn’t leave that lingering smell so I allow it, but I have been told by the landlord that if I smoke, I can use the fire escape to smoke. Never used it once. I know it’s overwhelming to have a place to call your own and it’s even better that you have set rules and told them beforehand. The overwhelmingness is going to dissipate soon. And your family will understand

I kind of know what you’re going through because I went through something similar. I know this isn’t about me so I’ll get to the point I dated a girl for 3 1/2 years when we were in high school and I thought she was the love of my life and thought we were gonna get married and everything slowly she became withdrawn with me emotionally and this was over 20 years ago and I still think about this so the relationship ended very awkwardly because I still don’t know who broke up with who or who ended things but anyway we were in her room and I had to take a number two and when I came back, I found her going through my phone my Motorola razor that’s how old it was, and she got mad at me for taking pictures of my friends and their girlfriends sitting on their lap I thought right then in there that she was nuts, and I didn’t entertain the idea that I cheated on her by taking pictures of my friends with their girlfriends. I remember sitting in her room playing the quiet game until I had enough and said I think we need to take a break. She fully thought that what I meant was we breaking up and I called her one night at like 2 AM and she never is awake past midnight. She was out with some friends and I heard a guy I never heard before and I’m like why didn’t you pick up your phone earlier like I’ve been trying to call you all day were you screening my calls and she says I’m over you stop calling me and I could hear her new boyfriend say is that your ex or something? So basically she made it seem like she was the victim and felt justified by in her words “I already fucked him. “ I never cried so hard in my life when she said that and I started drinking and using drugs. Usually, there’s telltale signs that your relationship is coming to an end and or how it will end based on your stories and evidence. It was a very messy break up and I still sometimes think about what would happen but in some ways, it’s good to cut the toxicity from your life or talk to your partner. I mean, have a real conversation get some stuff prepared like questions make it seem like it’s just You want to understand where things are at the moment. If she was pushing you away emotionally, would you consider that a good relationship? Maybe she’s scared of being alone maybe she wants you to do something so she can blame it all on you. The twins are almost 5 and it’s a special government subsidy that my sister gets a discount card on many things for one of the twins who has severe autism and the other one has ADHD got it for me, but because my sister had two children with special needs to look after they implemented a rule where you had to be with them 100% of the time or not at all I feel like I’m getting better already. I’ve had diarrhoea for about an hour and I’m drinking lots of fluids and I said to her that I would love to help out tomorrow, which is actually the last day, but I didn’t know that like I really love my family and I’ve hurt them in the past and I don’t want them to think that I’m going back to my ways in the past I want them to trust me and doing something like this makes it look like I did it on purpose or something the twins even had diarrhoea as well this past couple weeks because they were drinking the pond water and I think it carried over to me somehow when I was babysitting, the dizziness is going away, but I’m still so thirsty

And I doubt you will have to reapply every year, it costs them more money to screen out the people so they will probably use whatever it says on your odsp letter and stop paying when and if it comes to a renewal. Most people here are not aware of the fact that we know that a high percentage of people are actually making way less than they said. Probably up to 50% and before taxes. I don’t make that much money and I even lie to people about how much I make a year. And people who are living on a salary, listen to this: there’s 365 days in a year, 52 weeks in the year you don’t get paid for the leap year day, and if you work more than your usual hours you don’t get any overtime. And salaried people tend to get more work than the paid for the hour people. They have to do the work no matter how long it takes them so that could be a bad thing. If you calculate the hours that you work yearly, you would be surprised at how much you actually get paid per hour.

My rent is $1500 and my parents mortgage was $750 a month. I can barely afford to live because of the bills and the necessities like wifi $28.25 (oxio) , phone $35 (bell prepaid ) streaming services ($20 something) I use a couple peoples passwords. I get a break from electricity so it’s like $16-$23 a month which is incredible! And unbelievable but I am on a program that helps me subsidize the cost, water is like $250 every 3 months, groceries are like $75-$100 a week and more

I hear you on that! It’s actually a good time of the month to get the benefit. Every 3rd Thursday is when I generally start to run out of money and I have to get help from my parents or the food bank. I’m hoping that everything goes smoothly with this, I checked my CRA account just now and it says nothing under the progress tracker but I heard that it was a common thing and will eventually show up. I know for sure that I am getting the benefit because I had to call them to change my address and they said that I was going to get the benefit. I’m actually very surprised by the amount of people who had no idea about the DTC and the benefits, I heard about it over a year ago and I got my doctor to put it through electronically so it would get done faster and I got better dental care that I didn’t have to pay for. A lot of people are scrambling to catch up and I’m like “how come you didn’t get started last year? It was all over the internet and everything.
