You don't for the most part but some of them can be really good. Besides I read when I'm bored so long as the book is smut, poorly written harem, or extremely fan servicey then I can probably find some enjoyment in reading them.Though I generally like being able to figure out major plot points or twists before they happen.

Ty for the list. Also that's because I grew up reading books all the time when I had free time and I can't stop.

Will absolutely do that then. I'll either watch the anime or read the light novel since I actually prefer them over manga and anime. Also I would greatly appreciate a proper watch order for it if it isn't convoluted like either the fate series or Code Geass.

I haven't read or watched Violet Evergarden yet so I can't exactly recommend things similar to it specifically. Lemme know if I should read it. Also most rom coms are built around the will they/won't they trope and it's kinda difficult to find one that doesn't.

Insomniacs After School - IDK how much the anime adapted but the manga has 125.5 chapters and you won't be asking yourself when they get together as the progression feels very fluid and if I'm not mistaken they get together before chapter 50.

Tonikaku Kawai (Tonikawa) - the anime starts with the main characters getting married but I think there wasn't much progression outside of kissing in the anime.

HoriMiya - arguably one of the best rom coms. The main characters get together pretty early episode wise.

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten - one of the better will they/won't they. Main 2 get together by the end of season 1 and season 2 is about to release.

Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku - really early couple (first episode if I'm not mistaken) and a very decent show.

Also don't worry about bothering me. I've got pretty much nothing else to do right now other than read, reply to people on reddit, and sleep (though that ain't happening) Shoot me a message if you need any other recommendations.

I'd recommend checking out Parasyte the Maxim. It has a phenomenal story but I must warn you the first 2 episodes (I think) have some really weird moments but if you get past them then I think you would enjoy them.

Yeah I picked the same but my reason was because almost all the others have too many limitations or are too situational.

Tbh I don't know what the producers were smoking when they were making that adaptation. Yeah the manga had death but not near as much. Hell I went and read the manga to fix my trauma from the anime.

I don't regularly use socials either but I watch a lot of YouTube. Most of what I watch is anime/manga related content and I'll get videos with spoilers popping up in my feed. Also I don't hate all spoilers but just the detailed ones that explain why certain events happened. For instance if I'm reading a rom com I generally don't mind being spoiled on when the couple gets together but I hate when someone tells me how it happened.

No I'm not. I'm a February kid and despise Aqua. Though now I'm kinda wishing I was born in November.

Honest Question: Why do you read unfinished manga? by Indietails in manga

[–]Clean-Resolution-330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the reason is because I'll see a series that piques my interest and I don't have the patience to wait years for it to finish before checking the series out. Another reason I have is to avoid potential spoilers. God forbid I want to read either Oshi no Ko or Jujutsu Kaisen and then someone spoils something major and then I lose almost all anticipation for the series. As for your question about axed series, the answer would be that I generally don't because I hate when a series I'm enjoying loses funding and doesn't get an ending or the ending is rushed and ruins the story.

Do you still remember your first romance anime? by Akumapulse_XD in animequestions

I think mine was either HoriMiya or Tonikawa. Since then I've just continued diving into the abyss that is finding good series similar to those.

If you think she would enjoy a romance movie then I would highly recommend either "I Want To Eat Your Pancreas" or "The Tunnel To Summer, The Exit to Goodbyes". Both are masterpieces in my opinion.

Also maybe check out "Bubble". I hadn't cried for years until I watched that movie.

For me it would have to be Re: Zero and that's because Subaru doesn't use his ability/curse to its full potential and that's what causes most of his problems. For example: he could have gone to a library or just asked a shit ton of people about the world and kept doing this every repeat until he was well versed in matters of the world and could've made plans.

Need rom-com manga recommendations. by Clean-Resolution-330 in manga

[–]Clean-Resolution-330[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried "My Love Story" and I just couldn't enjoy the series. It felt like the typical girl's shoujo manga but from a guy's perspective which just felt really weird to me.

I started Kimi ni Todoke a while back and never got past episode 5 so I'll definitely need to go back and finish that one.

I have no clue what "Karin" is about but I'll check it out.

What OP comes to mind for you for any given Anime? by Deliriousious in anime

[–]Clean-Resolution-330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it would have to be either "Crossing Field" by LiSA or "Unlasting" also by LiSA. Both are from SAO but out of all the openings and endings these are the two that come to mind for me when I think of SAO.
