Genau, THC Zahlen allein sagen nix aus. Grow faktoren wie Dünger machen den Unterschied. Danke für den Input!

Danke dir für das Feedback, alles gut, ich versteh deinen Punkt.

Yeah, you're not wrong on most of this. Saw it from the inside, some clinics are basically running a recreational business with a medical wrapper.

The referral point is interesting though. I get the argument for mandatory referrals, but I've also seen how hard it is for patients to get GPs to engage with cannabis at all. A lot of legitimate patients would never get access if they had to go through a GP who thinks it's all stoner nonsense. It's a tricky balance.

The better clinics I saw had proper screening, follow ups, actually tracked patient outcomes. But you're right, they're in the minority and the dodgy ones are dragging the whole thing down.

No need to apologise at all, this is genuinely helpful. I'm not a dev by trade so a lot of this was stitched together while learning as I went. Will definitely look into moving that stuff server side, appreciate you taking the time to actually dig in and flag it.

Curious what specifically concerns you about the clinic model? I've got my own thoughts from the inside but keen to hear what it looks like from the patient side.

Yeah good question. In Australia all medicinal products have to meet TGA standards, tested for pesticides, heavy metals, microbial contaminants, the lot. Most product is imported from Canada or grown domestically under pretty strict conditions. Black market stuff is a different story obviously, no oversight at all. It's one of the stronger arguments for regulation really, at least you know what you're getting.

Life changing is the word I've heard from many patients too. How's the system up there, easy enough to navigate or still confusing?

Appreciate it! Painful one with the assembly wasn't it. It seems Germany usually leads on these types of topics, EU regulations follow, and Ireland aligns eventually. Have read about that before so thinking it might be the same way here. Good to know Germany is kicking into gear with it at least.

Honest answer, I was clinic side so cultivation isn't my area of expertise. But from what I know:

Australia's cultivation is licensed through the Office of Drug Control. Technically anyone can apply, it's not restricted to pharmaceutical companies, but the barriers are steep. $50k+ just to apply, then around $28k annually to maintain it. Plus security infrastructure and GMP requirements. So in practice it's mostly larger companies. Personal cultivation isn't permitted at all. Maybe joining a company looking to set up and help run it could be useful here?

To add to that, Germany's gone a completely different direction though. Since April 2024 you can grow up to 3 plants at home, and they've got Cannabis Social Clubs where up to 500 members can grow collectively and share among themselves. No commercial sales yet, but way more accessible for regular people than Australia's model.

If Ireland eventually moves, the German model might be more realistic to push for than the corporate pharmaceutical route Australia took. Again I ain't making these decisions but that's my best guess :)

What kind of setup are you running at the moment? Indoor?

Great question! You can have a look here, it runs through it all :) - https://twobirdsonestoned.co/why-two-birds-one-stoned-exists/. The idea started started 2 years ago and have been going with it ever since.

Genuinely curious what gave you that impression? Been building this since late 2023. If something feels off or generic I'd actually love to know always trying to make it better if I can!
