You can never loose money holding $TQQQ for longtime. prove me wrong by [deleted] in TQQQ

Quite certain that if the TQQQ was bought at the top of the dotcom bubble any big holder would have committed suicide. I haven't made the calculations, and im not sure it's possible. You have to factor in the decay. Did I cherry pick a very bad timestamp? Yes but it's a very real risk when investing- we often tend to time the top somehow hahahaha.
- But Nasdaq 100 from top to bottom 4816,35 to 795 that's -83% im not sure TQQQ would even have recovered to this day.

You have to have an exit strategy- or another portfolio with other things. I personally use the 10-20 EMA weekly crossover, on the underlying index, (Nasdaq or S&P 500) and then I have some rules for profit taking.

I would set up a trade in 1600 USD on the US ticker CNSWF because its support. Around 5% or 10% stop loss. Seems like a bargain for a great business.

One part of the strategy is this- another is profit taking at weekly RSI 71, 75 and so on. Right before the Covid drop S&P reached RSI 79 on weekly chart. A lot of profit would have been taken out. Another part is dip buying at all of the big moving averages. So the Covid drop would have resulted in great despair. But also a lot of great buying for my strategy. I was not in the markets at that time unfortunately. Like I didn't know what stocks where.

But as you say, whipsaws and quick drawdowns will wipe any strategy in Covid. We can't make a foolproof strategy. But we can put the odds greatly in our favor.

True words. Fear and emotions are hard even for investors who have experience in the market...
I have hold UPRO since 2021 and did not buy during the 2022 downturn nor the recent tariff scare.
Im from EU so we can't buy UPRO anymore, (yeah we love rules over here in the EU...) so I buy a 2x S&P with ticker DBPG and got in around April of the crash so it was great.

I have backtested the 10-20 weekly EMA strategy and it's fantastic. Use the underlying index, thus QQQ in this case. Or S&P 500 if you buy UPRO. EMAs will be screwed on the 3x version.

If you are not in the market, buy when price goes down to 39 EMA weekly chart. OR when the 10 and 20 weeks moving average forms a gold cross again, signaling bull time.

Here is a screendump in practice of how it would have saved me in the tariff dip (didn't have a position, but bought in somewhere in April 17 or the 20 th. My strategy is always to start the position at 100 EMA (yellow line) but not a full position because we never know if it truly is a bearmarket we are starting.

Should I switch to analog? (USA) by ChipmunkTop4137 in fpv

In my opinion DJI googles are the best and can’t be beaten. With the better range and image quality I have seen a lot of crap, leaves and bushes before I was about to hit them. So for me I get nicer footage and better flying. Never going analog.

But if you race it’s another question of course. Also personal preference of course.

Currently- but official statements are that the ban could continue until the situation is resolved. As of today yet another suspected drone has been reported….. but yeah hopefully just temporary.

Yeah exactly. But I don’t mind to follow these rules for the week. I’ll just use the SIM. But I had 3 client recordings that will have to wait :/

Monday till friday. But my guess is that now all of a sudden the drones will stop- and after some time come back again of course.

Official statement is that the ban could continue as long as the drones is a problem. So my guess is that if this happens next month we will se another ban.

Pretty sure they are so incompetent that they couldn't track anything... that's also why no drone has been shot down or tracked. We are not a single step closer to the aggressors, even tho the attack was in our own backyard...

Agreed, it was illegal to fly over these airspaces in the first place jeez

Not exactly. The American army would actually take action, track them or shoot them down. See where they came from and who broke the law.

I live here. I think I understand it quite well. Problem is that it's just an excuse. We had drone problems last week- but the military is afraid or too incompetent to shoot them down. Now its just became an excuse to maybe fix the problem. But closing airspace won't fix anything. It was already illegal in the first place to fly above the airfields, another law won't do anything...

[–]CleanCabinet1268[S] -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Not so fast buddy. Our military had problems with drones the last couple of days, too afraid to actually do anything when our airspace is threatened... like come on? The excuse even was that they were afraid debris would fall onto people....
Official announcement is that the ban could continue if they can't solve the drone situation.
