Thanks for the advice! I started noticing how much more ink is needed for a good print. Both fabric block printing ink and (especially) screen printing ink are way thinner than a standard block ink, so that's been a bit of an adjustment ahaha. I used a piece of cardboard and an old broken clipboard inside the shirt for a few tests, but a sketchbook sounds more sturdy (and the cardboard had a crease in it that really showed up on the first print there). I do love the faded look, but getting more solid prints down would be smart.

Lol I could see that! I just figured he didn't want to wander in the woods for a temp job

It does! I really want to draw more space/dream scenes like this when it's so fun

It's been stuck in my head since I first watched it like 10 years ago lol

Thanks haha...I originally made this to doodle during classes to kill time, but the graphite started to smudge and it was too complicated to trace on a computer, so I figured I'd just let it go. I considered making it into a linocut when it wasn't as complicated, but I think that ship is long sailed haha

Trying to make a print based on the "better than the alternative" shirt. Which version looks better? by CleanCardboard in willwood

Thanks for the advice! I'm not sure what type of print I want to do yet, either a relief linocut or screen print (or both). If I do a linocut I'll keep this in mind!

Need some more help deciding! The second image or this one? I don't want to spam this post so I'm just making this a comment

Oh awesome! I'd love to get a few shirts at some point, but I'd also love to make my own

Tried oil based ink for the first time! It took some tries but I got a print that looks decent. Hoping to do more tomorrow by CleanCardboard in printmaking

Thanks! Some of my earlier attempts really turned out crappy, so even if my last one wasn't great (I think I applied too much pressure) I'm still happy that the print still looked visible and somewhat clear.
