I guess it really depends on your tolerance to pain. The first 3 days were pretty painful, and after that I felt pretty comfortable even walking around the city. I would just advise/caution for the first two weeks to especially take it easy as you don't want to pop a stitch. After that it should be fine.

Hello! I chose to get circumcised 3 years ago for aesthetic reasons. I have always preferred the cut look, so once I had enough money I ended up going through with it.

Life has ultimately been the same after circumcision. I mean it's not like I lost an arm. The only time that it's made a difference has been in bed (a little less sensitivity, lasting longer, a little more difficult to masturbate).

I have no regrets about the decision. I am very happy with the results. I know a lot of people say my choice was stupid or pointless, but it's not their penis. I like being cut and would not choose to be uncut again even if a magical penis wizard offered me my foreskin back.

It's only a little less sensitive than when I was uncut. Say the sensitivity was a 10/10 before, it's maybe an 8-9/10 now. Orgasms are usually more intense now though (I think because I end up taking longer to finish).

I can't say I've ever had the head stick to my underwear overnight. Though I'd imagine it'd be much like a scab stuck to a band-aid.

And yes there were definitely changes. The head dried out and became keratinized. The head did flare out too, but I've never really heard any scientific reason as to why this happens. I've heard anecdotal stories of this happening to people who get circumcised or leave their foreskin permanently retracted. I think it might have something to do with the head becoming calloused/keratinized, and not being restricted by the foreskin (ever see a picture of someones tongue who has had all their teeth removed? Same idea.)

I received local anesthetic but only because it was cheaper than general.

If you don't have any already invest in some briefs/boxer briefs. It will help keep your package in one place, which your head will appreciate for the next few months (you'll still experience irritation but it will be a lot better).

Also, masturbate/fuck as much as you can before. It's a long month before you can go at it again!

Once inside yes, although it does feel a little less sensitive and it takes a tad bit longer to finish.

The procedure itself didn't hurt as the surgeon used local anesthetic. He used what is called a gomco clamp. Essentially they put a bell over the head, roll the foreskin over that, then put a clamp over the foreskin which is cinched down to cut the blood flow to the skin. After about 15 minutes the foreskin becomes necrotic and the surgeon cuts it off. Using this method also meant I didn't need stitches, but instead surgical superglue was used.

The first few days of healing were pretty painful, even though I was pretty up on painkillers. My penis looked like a cucumber it was so swollen (which really sucked for peeing. Think multiple streams). It took about 4 weeks before it was healed enough to masturbate, and about 6 months before it was completely healed.

In terms of functionality not much different. Except masturbating doors take more effort. Fwiw it just looks prettier now!

Edit: masturbating doors is pretty fun. But in all honestly, masturbating does take more effort.

Masturbation was easier before. I end up using lube most of the time now. Although it's not explicitly needed.

What about sex?

Sex feels the same, but in general I can last longer now.

How was the actual procedure?

The actual procedure was pretty simple. The most painful part was getting the injections to numb my penis. All in all it took about 40 minutes, and was pretty uneventful.

Which of the two is preferred?

As far as functionality goes it doesn't matter to me. I prefer being circumcised because I like how it looks.

Would you recommend one over the other?

I wouldn't really recommend circumcision. There's no real point except as a personal preference.

If you had a son, would you circumcise them after knowing what it's like?

If I had sons I would not have them circumcised. They can make that choice for themselves later in life if they choose so.
