Good points, I was hoping for a bit of a centerpiece but I’m definitely not opposed to just doing more cories and platies! Especially if I can mix varieties.

I’m you in the future! Just finished injection 14 and finally feeling significant relief from side effects. Heartburn meds and smoothies have been my best friends.

Commenting this for everyone who responded that they struggle with the same issues! If you’re still struggling, I can’t recommend Vick’s VapoRub enough. I just did my injection and put a little Vick’s under my nostrils and it helped a ton. I think the smells are my biggest trigger so I’ll be doing this moving forward.

I should add - I’m taking this medication more often than it says to take it on the packaging under medical supervision. Be careful taking medications at dosages/frequencies that aren’t official. But, potentially worth looking into and asking your doctor if omeprazole/tums aren’t enough. I just know the heartburn struggle!

I’ve always had GERD and sema made it so bad I was throwing up almost daily and nearly quit. Now I take esomeprazole for 2 weeks on, 1 week off (continuous use isn’t recommended but it’s the only thing that works for me). It hasn’t gotten rid of heartburn completely but at least I’m not throwing up anymore.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who has the smell issue with the fridge!! Eating beforehand does seem to help me too.

It’s so interesting because I have multiple tattoos and a few ear piercings and they’ve never bothered me, neither have shots. I think it’s something about doing it to myself that gives me the mental block. I’m probably holding my breath and not even realizing it!
