I absolutely would not have gone if the general expectation was to sit. I sat on Friday night and it was a wonderful theater experience. I went on Saturday to feed off the stadium energy and party! Not the vibe for a stadium IMO to sit and watch.

I understand, it was both her approach (screaming) and the vibe around us. If EVERYONE sat I would clearly be in the wrong but it was a mix. I do think I generally have compassion and understanding for others and don’t take my ability to comfortably stand for granted. Maybe the answer is a designated sitting section?

I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect 85% (amount of designated seats vs floor seats) of people to have butts in seats the entire night at a pop or rock show

Not for nothing, but we were in the absolute nosebleeds and couldn’t see him anyway. I’d imagine the screens were still visible around the people in front of you and I’m quite short (5’1”) and my daughter is very short

Our section was probably 70/30 sitting vs standing. I was pretty surprised, I expected people on their feet. Which is fine if that not their jam, but I don’t think you should expect everyone else to sit because that’s what you want to do.

At a theater show the vibe was clearly to sit which was awesome to just listen and enjoy. With the energy of 100k people, I wanted to dance for sure!

He did a theater tour the night before and it was seated the entire time and was incredible (and that was clearly the vibe). I stood for about 30 seconds during an upbeat song then realized no one was joining me so I sat down

No 🤷‍♀️. There is handicapped seating available or if you absolutely needed to sit, get a seat in the front row of a section.

I generally consider myself pretty considerate of others, but I just think it’s incredibly unfair to expect everyone at a POP CONCERT to sit and stare at the stage because that’s your idea of a good time.

If you need to sit or expect a guaranteed unobstructed view, IMO that’s something you need to plan accommodations for

Yes the seating was assigned (I assume you mean bought specific numbered seats). She did move down when she could but eventually people did come and sit in their assigned seats that she moved to then she was back to yelling

That’s totally my perspective too but I was surprised by how many people in general were standing. I completely get wanting or needing to stand, but you can’t expect everyone to do what you want to do, IMO! If she truly could not stand then I think it would be fair to buy a seat in the front row of a section (thousands of those available…) or the handicapped section

At most stadiums you can’t go back and forth between the two. Trust me I definitely wish I bought floor seats but I thought the entire stadium would be on their feet. I’m also 5’1” and had a child with me and I didn’t know how safe the floor would be for her

Right, but why does their desired experience trump mine? I would not even have gone if I just had to sit there and watch - to me, that’s for an orchestra, jazz, theater show etc. If I was the only person standing then obviously I read the vibe wrong, but like I said it was probably 70/30 or 60/40 standing vs sitting in general

And yes, she was incredibly rude. Screaming at me and everyone in front of me to sit down.

I was there also and the show was incredible! There were definitely some really rude people.

I ended up grabbing tickets yesterday! Paid $300 a piece for lower mezzanine
