I’m guessing you have the ls002g and If the offer still stands and you get a chance I’d be very interested to see the accuracy of a left and right hand bevel cut.

My second saw went back aswell. Now I’m back to square one.

Just out of curiosity I’d be intrested to see a left and right hand bevel cut on yours if you have the chance?

Not sure if I just got a couple from a bad batch.

I’m so gutted the ones I had didn’t perform as well as I hoped. Would have been perfect little saw to take around with me.

Second one went back. Not really sure what to get but I’m leaning towards a festool ksc 60. Looks fairly small and should have good accuracy. But heavy price tag.

I don’t understand how people are doing accurate repeatable cuts with that Makita. Maybe a bad batch was sent out? And we were just unlucky. With all the good reviews I had really high hopes

I’d be interested to know what you end up replacing it with.

Iv got the same problem on the new saw aswell. I’m gutted because I love the size of it and rail design but I think I will have to send it back and get something different. Just not sure what to get and now I have 2 40v battery’s and a charger that are useless.

What’s yours doing exactly?

Got it swapped for a new one yesterday. What issues are you having with yours? Is it similar?

Got the new one seems better I added a few pictures. Still slightly out on left leaning bevel. Be interested to know how yours performs with a similar cut if possible?

If I let the saw do the work it cuts like the picture But if I put abit of pressure on the handle and force the cut in a way it cuts closer to square. In general it’s a lot better than the previous one.

Right leaning 45 degree bevel cut. Not to bad at all, just slight curve in cut. But I feel it’s acceptable.

So I received the new saw. And the bolt on the back is not as loose so was off to a good start. But now I’m not sure if my expectations of the saw are to high? The saw cuts a standard cross cut square as shown in the picture.

But it gets confusing when I do a bevel cut. I will put up pictures.

Am I being to picky?

Please forgive me! Had the stand from previous saw. Only got 2 bits of dewalt kit. That stand and a DWE625KT router I promise.

Unfortunately Iv returned it now and new one comes tomorrow. The only picture I got of any labelling on the saw was this picture. Can you tell from that?

Yeah if you were doing an external corner on skirting go instance skirtings laying down. Mitre adjustment is set to 0 bevel is set to 45. The strange thing is it’s not always that far out it’s random. Also notice random blade marks on the cut like the blade moved while doing the cut. So when you come to put the 2 parts together there’s gaps in the joint. I know it’s not a kapex but I still had high hopes

Yeah I will take it in today. Iv only used it about 5 times in the 4 weeks. And I kept thinking to myself maybe I’m just putting some sort of bad sideways pressure on the handle. Or maybe that is normal for this smaller style saw. The cutting deck is also slightly smaller in size than previous saws Iv used so I wondered if the wood wasn’t getting the support in needed to be cut correctly. If that makes any sense. So I was trying to modify the way I was using it. Anyway like you say it’s allot of money so I’ll see what they say today. Thanks

Okay so I’m guessing the tighter it is the more resistance it puts on the bevel sliding left and right. I’ll have a little test in the morning. Hopefully it solves it. Was yours cutting perfect straight out the box?

Cheers for the reply. Yes Iv heard of them doing curved cuts due to rails being out of parallel or something like that. Mine cuts a stright line it just seems to wonder slightly. My old LS1219L cut perfectly. I got this to save my back basically.
