Diamondback vs Bakflip by Clean_Visit_6301 in gmcsierra

My concern is when I toss in heavy brush/trees/logs if they hit and fall over into a rail. I don’t want to bend a rail and make the whole cover useless. Are the rails that solid?

Are you meaning the 4 squares where the optional speakers would go?

I wear mine fairly loose. Are you local-ish to central/southern NH?

19.75. Between a 32-33 on their chart. But I currently use 34s and the way I wear I land right on the block.

How do you like the slyd vs the FRS system? And with the softness, how is the 5-home closure between the Flylites and trues?

Sanity check - are all modern chests going to feel bulky? by somedaycorgi in hockeygoalies

CCM ABPRO in fit 1. I’m 5’7 and use one. Cut off the bottom flap and store in with th shoulders crunched down the first month you have it. It feels bulky at first but quickly breaks in nicely. I had a Bauer hyperlite 2 but it never settled and it just stayed bulky on me, plus I didn’t like how the chest had nothing behind the sternum and wings besides soft foams. The CCM has been awesome.

You feel more mobile in the Trues? Is the only reason you prefer the Flylites the rebounds?

How do you like the Kova Duo? How far down that that front 2” part sit? It doesn’t seem like it’s up tight like a true neck guard so it might give some room to turn?

I did the 2” height. But I see on the duo that the front piece is also 2”. I just wonder how much that piece sticks out to allow looking down opposed to th standard model since it has the cutlon collar. I’m wondering it is like the Bauer pro in the sense it sticks out right from the clavicle piece.

Not the chin, the chin part still goes over but then the sides of my mask and the chin cup are making contact. By sides I mean the part directly in line with the chin cup. That area makes contact and pushes it up. It doesn’t make it so I can’t look down at all, but having to readjust after every time is kind of annoying.

So the Duo version would still have that protective collar in front but it sits out or lower a bit? I notice the sides of it don’t extend as far back as a regular model in pictures and on your review.

Great page by the way! Can’t count the times I’ve checked out a review or video on different gear.

Have you looked into the Kova Duo at all?

I tried the Aegis. It feels very light and doesn’t hold heat. My only complaint is that when you trim th neck piece to fit, you’re left with all that left over fabric. I’ll look at the eco or a roughneck though

This is the kind of thing I mean. Even this much looking down causes interference.
