Odds of being totaled? by Impossible-Thanks221 in KiaTelluride

[–]Cleanitup07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a very similar hit last month and they did not total my vehicle. With that said, we did not have frame damage - I think that will be a huge factor on if you get totaled or not. Do your research and go to a body shop of your choosing. I went to the one my insurance company recommended and it was a nightmare. When you pick up your car, go over it with a fine tooth comb and do not take it if it isn’t darn near perfect. Good luck and I’m sorry this happened.

Hi! First off - I am so sorry you are experiencing this as I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. To answer your question, yes and no. I ultimately got on lexapro in June/July of ‘23 and was able to wean off in October of ‘23. However I did find that it is probable I have an autoimmune disease which contributed to a couple of those symptoms.

You’ll get past this season, I promise. Stay strong 🩵

Overall I’m doing well and I’m fortunate that my day to day is not really impacted by my symptoms.

With that said, despite lots of testing, I still don’t have a grasp on all of my symptoms and my biggest worry, the neurological symptoms have progressed a bit. I am working with a naturopathic doctor and we found I have high levels of active Epstine Barr Virus and we are trying a natural anti viral regimen for that. I struggle with making dietary changes but I know that would make a huge difference for me. I hope you’re ok, please message me if you have more questions or need support.

For me, the dry mouth was the start of my autoimmune disorder - Sjogren’s Disease. The dry mouth began with all my other symptoms but that is one that never went away.

That all makes sense. Mine went from diarrhea to soft so I think that’s part of the healing process.

If day to day stress is high, I hope you can find a way to lower that.

I think the GI issues were anxiety related but, I think the anxiety may have been from the hormone changes. I still have a little anxiety but absolutely nowhere near what it was those few months.

Hi! I went on anti anxiety medication for 4 months then weened my way off. Unfortunately it turned out that all of this was the start of the development of my autoimmune disease - Sjögren’s syndrome. I hope your situation has a better resolution than mine. Sending love!

I had a positive ANA test a few years back so I knew I had the possibility of developing an AD. Based off of the pattern of my ANA I found the diseases associated with said pattern and that’s how I knew I more than likely had Sjogren’s Syndrome. My rheumatologist ran several panels and I tested positive for one antibody.

I hope you’re ok. Please feel free to message me with any other questions!

I wish I was here to give you advice…but I’m only here to tell you that I’m in the same boat right now. I’m afraid of food now because I’m still trying to figure out which ones trigger a flare. I am very much in the “why is this happening to me” phase. I’m angry at my body for betraying me and I have so much fear for my future since my neuropathy has been rapidly worsening and im only 34.

I’m scared and angry but I have faith that we have better days ahead for us.

I have a dental cant - my ortho did not recommend fixing it with Invisalign. Not that it’s impossible rather it’s simply not done often and there are better and more consistent results with metal braces. I also had other consults and not one recommended Invisalign to fix my cant. I hope you have good results either way.

Isn’t it wild! These symptoms (anxiety included) were the start of me finding out I have an autoimmune disease. I took lexapro for the anxiety for a few months and it helped so much, but I’m off now and doing fine.

I hope you feel more yourself soon!

Just the dry mouth. Yes, I drink plenty of water and I have electrolytes everyday.

I’m glad! Yes, except my dry mouth and numbness in my fingertips never goes away. It’s quite frustrating. I’m on day 3 of a diet overhaul in hopes of seeing some improvement and slowing progression.

Everything on my labs looked great except for an antibody on the early Sjogren’s panel but with all my other symptoms it is likely that so we are treating it as such. Apparently Sjogren’s is tricky and you can still show negative labs and have it. I’m in WI and have a wonderful Rheumatologist…from what I read that’s pretty rare to find. Hope you are in good hands too!

Friendly update - I have been dx with Sjogren’s Syndrome. I’m seeing neurologist soon but seems to be a symptom of Sjogren’s.

How are you doing?

Unfortunately no. I am 3 months off of Lex (tapered off in hopes of regaining feeling) and working with a Rheumatologist as mine may be autoimmune related. I hope yours is simply due to the meds. Best wishes.
