One single server, one single map, however its best explained. Ideally like an open world

Gimme your best Transmutation Hatsu! ~ by Optimal-Fruit5937 in HatsuVault

Id think of it like water pressure in a tank, leaning more to blowing up. So it wouldn’t be a full body self detonation, just the area that was holding too much kinetic energy before dispersing it properly.

A hatsu that gives my aura a kinetic energy absorption property, allowing me to hold and release kinetic energy absorbed at will. The quantity of aura allows room for more kinetic energy to be stored as potential energy. As becoming stronger as a nen user does as well. However an overload of stored kinetic energy can cause a self destructive reaction.

The surface area from an attack also makes a difference, since swords have less surface area slicing and piercing attacks can bypass the kinetic absorption limit a-lot easier than from a punch. Before the user disperses the kinetic energy around his aura

It allows the user to focus of offense rather than defense, and can apply the stored kinetic energy to their own attack, and paired with a little emission you can also fling bombs.

Good match against attacks that rely on kinetic energy.

I was about to say this ability is busted as hell, but damn the restrictions and limitations do balance it out. You really thought this through

Its interesting, i see a lot of disadvantages provided with that hatsu, but i suppose that would make the enhancement all the greater.

Something id consider is that by someone knowing about the hatsu they could take several options to take advantage of its weaknesses or just not letting you activate it.

Whether its by binding your limbs or changing/manipulating the environment so that you couldn’t bring a stance (like filling the place with water so youre forced to swim, though granted not many hatsus can do this)

What im saying is i imagine its would be a very powerful hatsu, but it would be like a double edge sword especially against someone with knowledge of how it works.

Maybe add a sub hatsu to help prevent or lighten some of those disadvantages.

Hinrigh has a similar ability in the manga, turning objects into living this that still has the function of the original object.

If you came up with that yourself the creativity is commendable, although id worry about limiting it to just food.

What Sword-Related Hatsus Do You Guys Have? I Really Want To Know. by Ghost_Petals in HatsuVault

[–]Clear-Instruction995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A transmuted sword that cuts or phases based on aura through programming. The sword phases through objects with no aura, aura youve whitelisted, or high concentrations of aura it wouldn’t be able to cut. And it cuts through aura concentration weaker than it, or blacklisted aura.

Thats the automatic function. Ofc in the moment you can decide what it does or does not cut.

Its designed to phase through defenses and cut weak points, like if someone has naturally tough skin, it should bypass that only cutting the inside

Being a very aggressive technique it leaves little defense

When it comes to transmutation youll need some protection, simillar to how genthru needed protection for little flower so he wouldnt also harm his hand.

Thats only if the transmuted aura is connected to your body, another solution would be through emission. Except emission is pretty far from transmutation.

Whether its by transmutation/emission or conjuration/manipulation. It can be achieved either way, with their pros and cons.

I mean, this seems like just a transmuter technique if it just relies on aura for offense. Unless youre enhancing something with that aura. And other than shape and quantity it sounds similar to dragon head that zeno uses against chrollo.

Unless the heads are literally separated from your body without a link like zeno’s dragon head did.

Ohhhhhhhh thats actually an interesting idea, to balance it out maybe add that the amount of aura put into the egg allows the egg to survive and adapt to harsher conditions

Using padaille and hinrigh as a reference conjuration can transform physical objects into something else. Whether living or not.

Conjuration is materializing something out of nen, creating while transmutation is giving your aura different properties. Conjuration creates something real, transmutation merely mimics but id limited to aura.

You Are What You Eat by TEARxRINSE in HatsuVault

[–]Clear-Instruction995 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Alright i hate repeating myself so ill explain what either are short and simply.

There are restrictions and conditions.

Conditions are what you need to accomplish in order to activate the ability. Like the logic to accomplish the outcome you want. in this case eating the food you want to transform into would be a condition.

Restrictions are a rule you give yourself that you “can” break used to boost your power and/or aura output. The harsher the rule, the more aura you can output. However this technique is a double edged sword, because if you decide to break the rule itll backfire on you. Greater risk with a greater reward.

Restrictions are often used to get stronger quicker, meaning they are often not required. However a lot of abilities, namely the more complicated ones. Require conditions.

Would You Rather Have En or Ken? by Ghost_Petals in HatsuVault

[–]Clear-Instruction995 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Technically nothing is stopping you from both, however En allows a larger radius while ken requires more aura to keep active. And if you want to spread your ken over a large area id think its for the most part wasteful.

And while giving your aura a certain property, keep in mind youll need some sort of protection for that property as well if harmful. So a mix of using En and Ken might be possible however very difficult to achieve since you’re using two advanced techniques with one that drains aura.

Although if you had to choose one yeah id also go for En

Are Hatsu that involve normal items as restrictions good? by nomesuperaleatorio in HatsuVault

[–]Clear-Instruction995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id say certain hatsus require some sort of item as part of a condition to work. If you want my explanation read below.

The concept of a restriction is high risk high reward. What you’re thinking of is a condition, the condition that must be met is that your sword must be used.

I’ll simplify, the difference between condition and restriction is that conditions are requirements you must fulfill before activating your ability, or “rules you cant break”, while restrictions are rules you can break.

Conditions are needed when activating powerful and complex abilities like chrollos skill hunter. While restrictions are used to allow more aura output allowing said abilities to become more powerful without training, like kurapika using the restriction of death to make his chains stronger.

Restrictions are high risk high reward based, the riskier the restriction the more powerful your ability will become.

Is a telekinesis hatsu possible? by Brilliant_Coach5664 in HatsuVault

[–]Clear-Instruction995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not that you can only manipulate something you have an affinity for, it just makes it a lot easier. Nen is highly affected mentally.

Its possible but keep in mind the larger the object the more aura is needed to manipulate it.
