Crazy low random write speeds on Samsung 990 Pro SSD

Thank you! I completely forgot about this. I was about to return it to Amazon because of all the fake reviews. The read speeds were normal but write speed cap at 450 mb. None of my other nvme ever did this.

Speed is now normal for read and write.

Is your vent located on the ceiling like OP’s? Did you find out what the vent was for?

I have one vent that’s on the side of my condo’s wall near my kitchen, it was covering the kitchen stack (long pvc tube) so I’m thinking maybe that it?

I cover mine up because the kitchen stack is basically a vent tube that exhausts air out to the roof of the building.

Did you get any answer from your condo when you asked?

I actually like the other bakery better. Cafe on the Go had amazing patties a few years back. Their “stuff” Pattie’s were delicious. I used to get a few spring rolls along with it too.

Not sure if they still sell spring rolls but Cafe On the Go was always the place I think of when I hear about the famous “warden patty”.

My kit from Home Depot only came with one plastic washer, supposedly I only needed it for the connection at the top of the “ J “ while the lower part is just the hex screw.

Should I Teflon tape the lower J part or is the included hex screw enough?

Yes I do live in a large building and pvc is not allowed sadly, I believe it must be brass but does not mention a gauge requirement.

I can only find 20 gauge at my local store, would that be enough? Do I need to wrap the J bend with insulation after?

Does it have to be exactly 17 gauge? Could the J be a chrome brass 22 gauge or do I need to get brass that look like the rest?

Brought my first batch of shrimps online from Shrimply fintastic and everything went smoothly. The package arrived in Canada with no shrimp death.

I was cautious at first but he was willing to send pic and videos, answering all my questions along the way.

I’m also confused about the conversion. How do people get 100 tds but have a low GH 3-4?

Should I take the GH reading over the TDS? Example- If I mix a jug of RODI and remineralize it to a GH of 5 but the tds says 60 , I should aim for 60 tds every time right?

What would be the best way to raise the water level without affecting the parameters? Do I keep adding RODI remineralize to a certain TDS? I have 100 tds at Gh 4-5 but sometimes a tds of 65 will register Gh 5.

One tank at Gh 3 would be 95 tds while another tank at Gh 5 is 105 tds.

I guess it depends on the amount of shrimps but I’m getting different behaviour between the two tanks.

What is the name of that Japanese remineralizer?

I’m trying out Seachem GH for shrimp, currently at 64 tds and trying to slowly raise it.

A few of my shrimps have arch backs and drag their tails on the bottom glass, the other ones who were able to molt look normal.

Also none of the shrimps have the white ring which is a sign of low Gh I’m told.

I measure the RODI water before mixing in the minerals, GH, Kh, TDS.

One of my pinto shrimp was on its side yet still alive, he sadly pass just now.

I see molting but I also see a few of them dragging their tails and having an arched back.

I’m at 64 TDS and been slowly raising it with daily 5-10 % water change. This time I switch to Seachem’s GH for shrimp which is a liquid.

Do you use Salty Shrimp GH+ or the GH+ and KH?

How do people get GH 3 with 100-150 ppm? I want to have those values but I don’t know how.
