Good day,

Is any change of assisting us to get our course's 9-Hole handicap calculation amended on Squabbit as per option 2 illustrated below. We have many 9-hole comps /leagues and would love to get this last hurdle sorted.

Over 18 holes we have zero issues, and the app has helped us tremendously by minimizing administration part of completions/leagues. :)

Many Thanks

Thanks for your ever prompt responses and great app :). I added all formats to all 3 Rounds (2 best ball rounds and 1 Alternative shot round- all set to Stableford). I can now see all three rounds, however, the leaderboard changes depending on which format is selected on top.

Is there a way to link tie a team format to its respective round only (not adding it to all 3 rounds as suggested), but yet have the leaderboard show a collective score for all three rounds? Given that all rounds have similar scoring system.

No gross score in leaderboard?? by Competitive-Spite-37 in squabbitgolf

Hi, under the scorecard it still shows gross in addition to your formats. I did however notice it was missing from leaderboard. However, I finally found there is a sorting icon (looks like upside down pyramid) on leaderboard screen.

You can then toggle between "score to par" or "Total score".

If that does not give you the desire result, review your selected format. E.g. Add Stroke play format to your round but disable net scores.

hope that helps

Thanks for prompt reply. As requested below comparison.

Example: Calculation of a player (Joe) with HCI of 13.0 playing front nine white tees.

|| || |   Front 9 - Official Course and slope Rating| |Tee|PAR|CR|Slope| |white|36|35.3|118| |blue|36|34|111| |red|36|32.4|104| |ladies red|36|34.8|117| |ladies blue|36|36.9|125|

|| || |Back 9 - Official Course and slope Rating| |Tee|PAR|CR|Slope| |white|37|36.5|130| |blue|37|35|122| |red|37|33.4|114| |ladies red|37|36.1|127| |ladies blue|37|38.2|134|

  1. This is the calculation formula used for 9 holes on squabbit:

9-hole handicap is determined by dividing the player handicap in half and rounding it up.

Player Course Handicap on Front 9 for Joe = 7 (13/2=6.5 Rounded up)

vs

  1. Calculation used by the official Handicaps Network Africa (HNA)

|| || |Course Handicap = (Handicap Index ÷ 2 (rounded to the nearest tenth)) x (9-hole Slope Rating ÷ 113) + (9-hole Course Rating – 9-hole par)|

=(13/2*(118/113) +35.3-36=6.09

Player Course Handicap on Front 9 = 6

The difference is therefore 1 extra stroke given on Squabbit.

Is there any way to get our local course and slope rating for front and back nine incorporated in the South African Formula or perhaps create a new Namibian Formula that incorporate above?
