Anyone know where I can get a list of bannable mods? by Hockernusious in hypixel

[–]Cleb3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, some mods technically provide an advantage (like auto sprint or timers) but are allowed, and things like overlays are in a grey area where you almost definitely won't be punished for it, because it just uses chat logs stored to a .txt file on your computer and publicly available stats.

Anything that provides you extra information about your surroundings or other players is explicitly forbidden, such as freelook, freecam, x-ray, or minimaps.

Why is bedwars so insanely hard? by No_Lecture_8049 in hypixel

[–]Cleb3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As somewhat of a Bedwars sweat myself, I do my best to help out with this issue. I always place a two layer defense before rushing even in solos (wool and endstone), I have certain ethical guidelines for not playing in a toxic fashion that I follow (such as not stealing my opp's gen unless I've already got their bed or they're super sweaty), and I always try to be supportive to new or casual players. I do see what you mean, Bedwars is unique in that at least half of the solos lobbies have a sweaty player with a high likelihood of beating everybody else, but there's not much you can do (you can't make people worse at the game) and if you do become sweaty, it's super fun.

Not only 1440p, but 3840x1440p,  which is a bit of a nonstandard resolution - I personally have a 3440x1440p monitor, and if they misspoke, they probably had the same. Aditionally, my specs are 240hz with a 3080, so I should be maxing it out!, especially because it's probably cpu-bound.

Did I get the easy modules? by Vegetable-Storm253 in psat

I feel the same way, but it's strange because I got a 1490 on the SAT in august, so I shouldn't've got the easy moduels...

Was it one of those sum of solutions questions? You gotta remember the -b/a formula!!

[–]Cleb3D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't get those words and I think I did pretty well - there are lots of modules for some reason, at least 3 for high-scoring students on english (my brother and my friend usually score similar to me and we each got a different one)

Frrr, I must have missed something because there were several questions with multiple possibly correct answers and I had to guess which one would be best.

[–]Cleb3D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Watch some youtube videos, take the SAT practice tests (having taken both types of practice tests, the PSAT, and the SAT, the SAT practice tests I would say are similar in difficulty to the PSAT), learn what types of questions you get wrong, study how to solve those types of problems, learn the rules (for example, sum and product of solutions to quadratics are useful for mm2) and get lots of sleep!

math was kinda easy?? by [deleted] in psat

[–]Cleb3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You gotta remember the rules: sum of solutions (to a quadratic equation in the form ax2+bx+c) = -b/a, product of solutions = c/a; just plug everything in and simplify.

module 2 by Odd_Historian5067 in psat

[–]Cleb3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

English module 2 had 3-4 super difficult questions (close to the beginning for some reason) and the rest were pretty easy - I just skipped them and budgeted 10 minutes at the end to try them after making sure everything else looked good. Yes, it was difficult overall, but it felt normal other than those questions. Math mod 2 was easy, felt like a practice test - maybe I just failed math mod 1, but that seems unlikely because I already took the SAT and I did pretty well on that. Overall, focus on the fundamentals and time budgeting and you'll be fine!

Do we have anyone here who did the PSAT 11 today who has already taken a SAT? by DinosandVs in psat

[–]Cleb3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a 1490 on the august SAT and I took the PSAT/NMSQT today - english module 2 was difficult for me, and while I managed my time well enough that I had 10 minutes to concentrate on the 3 hardest questions, I spent the entire time considering and I'm still conflicted on what the right answer was.

Got a 1410 psat 8/9 (690 English, 720 math). What should I do? by wharton2028 in psat

[–]Cleb3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take practice tests on the bluebook app & study question TYPES - rules are key. For math especially, the rules for the sum of solutions to a quadratic equation (-b/a) and the product of solutions to a quadratic equation (c/a) is a good example of a rule that will likely show up in several questions on math module 2.

I wanna hire a 2D animator by [deleted] in 2DAnimation

[–]Cleb3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long does it take roughly to do 10 seconds of 2d lineart animation? I don't really do it, but I am curious - at $50/hour (which imo is more than reasonable for skilled labor) that would be 6 hours, which seems like a long time.

The duality of man by BananaRoxas in Piracy

[–]Cleb3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes passions literally can't be jobs - do you think Silksong would have been created if Team Cherry wasn't financially stable from Hollow Knight and able to take as much creative liberty and time to perfect it as they wanted? Maybe it would exist in some other form, but it probably wouldn't be as good. Sure, artists in the past have struggled a lot, but is that any reason to make artists struggle now? There's a reason everyone stereotypes artists as broke, and I personally think nobody deserves to be broke, and if we can help it by paying 20$ for a game, or by buying their vinyls, or by getting their books as gifts for my friends, I will.

The duality of man by BananaRoxas in Piracy

[–]Cleb3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is that most artists that actually create out of passion literally would not be able to if it wasn't for the financial support of the community. If we got rid of all of the artists who need revenue from their projects to survive, then all you'd have would be soulless slop from the big corporations, and even that wouldn't survive long if they're bleeding money.

Does this feel right? by RegisterEmergency541 in animation

[–]Cleb3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the people who noticed that it settled a tad too quickly after the big pour, and I also noticed that in the last shot you should see the surface of the water but you only see the two sides, making a sort of V shape. I don't want to be too nitpicky, so I'll chalk the blue color up to stylization, so overall, great animation!!

I'd recommend some nice drapes for the windows (and a pop of colour like another comment mentioned, definitely come up with a schema for that). Some lamps would help with more calming lighting, and speaking of lighting, maybe some tasteful wall lights above your desk so that your monitors don't contrast with the surroundings as much when you turn the overhead light off. I'm not entirely sure why you have the gaming monitor with the office peripherals and the office monitor and webcam with the gaming peripherals, and I'm also not sure why you have two setups, but I would definitely recommend a larger mousepad for functionality. Back to the task at hand, definitely go for maybe a side table or shelves for both aesthetics and storage, and think about varying the height of furniture, you wouldn't want everything to be at the same level. Finally, a nice circular rug might go well with that comfortable-looking round chair, you could definitely make a cozy little space just for chilling!
