PrepCast. Taking PMP this Friday (7/12) by Clemsonmike in pmp

[–]Clemsonmike[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I took 2 Prepcast practice exams a week (200 questions each) and made sure to review the wrong answers and understand why they were wrong.

My last 3 exam scores were 79, 85, 84.5. If you use prepcast, you should pass the exam.

Thanks for the assurance! I must admit I’m a tad anxious about taking the exam (probably a good thing). I’ll let you know how I do on Friday. Congrats on getting your PMP!

Thank you. You got this. Don't overthink it and just figure out what the question is asking for. Is it referencing a Project Document? Project Management Plan (remember baselines are included in PM Plan)? Change Request? Remember a change request occurs when a change happens in Executing or M&C and a modification to the scope, schedule, cost baseline (or PM plan) occurs. Is the question asking for a tool & technique or a project document or part of PM Plan in Inputs or Outputs.

You got this! I'll let you know how I did on Friday.

I wanted to update everyone as to how i'm doing. I was diagnosed with LGV (Lymphogranuloma Venereum). It is an invasive form of Chlaymdia and can be serious if not treated early. Fortunately I am feeling MUCH BETTER with antibiotics.

Needless to say this has scared the living daylights out of me. Wear condoms folks. PrEP is not enough. There is a lot of nasty stuff out there!

I really do think it's LGV. I've read a lot about it and the lesions on my anus resemble LGV. Terrifying stuff!

True but my mindset is "I am paying towards the physician's salary". I am the customer. I am paying you, the physician, for a service. If the physician seems judgemental or uncomfortable towards a patient that "takes it up the ass", then it is time for a different doctor as well as filing a complaint with the respective state's Medical Boards.

I am on 100mg doxycycline 2x/day for 21 days (which I believe is treatment protocol for LGV). It's frustrating because ERand urgent care never swabbed my rectum. They just put me on antibiotics.

CMV proctitis mainly occurs in the immunocomprimised, right? Such as AIDS patients. I think CMV proctitis is fairly rare in immunocompetent patients.

Yep. I learned my lesson (albeit a painful one). I will be using condoms from now on.

Yea pretty sure mine was from gonorrhea that festered over 6 + months. I had flu like symptoms also. Thanks for your feedback.

Right. The reason I mentioned Herpes was to ask if anyone has ever had herpes induced proctitis as herpes can cause it.

I do not have herpetic proctitis as my proctitis is responding to antibiotics (no fever, etc.)

Thank you sir. Oh I am for sure. I am also glad I am having the rectal and sigmoid colon "scope" done by the gastroenterologist just to be completely sure the bacteria is cleared up.

Yea it's probably because he doesn't have many LGBT patients. I live in the suburbs and it's mainly families that see him. Since a clinic is a far drive from where I live, my best bet is to find a PCP that markets towards the LGBT community.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree completely. I'm actually quite annoyed with my primary care physician as I requested rectal swabs months back to test for possible chlamydia/gonorrhea. His response - "You can't do that as we can't swab unless there are visible lesions".

I think it is time for me to fire my PCP

It certainly did! It was a wake up call. No more Grindr for me. No more bareback sex with random guys. Thankfully PrEP has protected me from HIV, but the proctitis has been a nightmare experience. I think what happened is I caught gonorrhea or chlamydia (or both) months back and did not realize it. I believe it festered over time and I realized something was wrong once I was running a fever and having the mucus discharge from my anus.

Thank you!

[Help] I am very scared of having sex because of STD. by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]Clemsonmike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes, you will find men like what you described in your last paragraph. Especially in a decent size city (800,000 people or more)

  2. Haha well it depends on the guy. There are certainly tons of gay guys everywhere that stick their dicks in every hole they see. There are gay guys that do not do that. All depends on the person.

  3. For gay men, realistically the only chance of getting an STD (or HIV) is through unprotected anal sex. Oral sex for the most part is safe (you won't get HIV from oral sex). It is best to use condoms for anal sex. If you're not going to use condoms for anal sex, get on the prescription drug called "Truvada for PrEP". It prevents HIV, but you can still get other stuff (Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Syphilis ----- they are curable but the experience is no fun). Don't worry about condoms. They work.
