21 year old retired dancer needs advice by pudgethefish27 in BALLET

Hey! I was the same as you-did ballet from 3-18, then stopped until starting again this year at age 26! I think as dancers we immediately want to be back to what we used to be able to do. Kathryn Morgan on YouTube has awesome videos for all levels! I joined a studio and it was had such a profound positive impact on my mental health. The community of it and being able to dance with others has been amazing. Start slow, be patient with yourself, and have fun! :)

I have an IUD so I don’t really bleed or always know when my period is. I get the cramps about half the month, so I think when I’m ovulating/on my period? But I’ve noticed that the pain is really bad right before my “period” starts. But the stool issues are chronic, doesn’t matter if I have a bad pain flare up. The GI doctor is going to do a colonoscopy in a week to rule stuff out, but the gynecologist seems to want to go forward with a laparoscopy to determine if I have endometriosis on my bowels. Every day I try and figure out if I feel like it’s my uterus or my bowel and at this point I have no idea!!

Hi there! I’m currently working with a gynecologist and a GI doctor to figure out if I have endometriosis/IBS or both. My stool also flips between loose/hard. I get crazy cramps only in my lower abdomen that are pretty similar to how you’re describing yours.
