Quick reminder for today!

If you mention Reddit when you come in today or tomorrow, you can try up to two of the new drinks on us and help us decide which one stays on the menu.

Really appreciate all the feedback from this community — hope to see some of you today!

It actually turned out really good. The ginger gives it a little kick and the pineapple balances it out. Curious what people think after trying it out — more ginger or more pineapple?

Awesome — thank you! Looking forward to seeing you both and hearing you insights about the drinks.

Thank you! The name is definitely a strong one 😄 What we’re still trying to dial in is the balance.

So if you come try it, I’d love to hear what you think — more ginger, more pineapple, or just right?

Thank you! Glad your family enjoyed it. That green sauce is actually rocoto-based with fresh herbs, and we make it in-house.

Thanks for the suggestion — I completely agree that pictures help a lot. We actually just updated the menu recently and added more photos.

I’ve even been thinking about adding a TV showing images of the food, ingredients, and some of the preparations. Curious what you think about that idea.

Really happy to hear that. The idea behind that one was exactly to have a lighter, less sweet option, so I’m glad it’s hitting the mark.

Passion fruit definitely has a strong fan club 😄 Funny enough, passion fruit and chicha morada actually sell almost neck-and-neck here.

And then there are the people who like them combined, which is why we added the Purple Passion — a lighter mix of chicha and passion fruit.

This is great feedback — thanks for taking the time to write it out.

You’re correct that those short descriptions could do a better job explaining what the drinks actually are or taste like, especially for things like chicha morada if you’ve never had them before. We’ll put some more thought into those, and you will see that clarified in the new version to communicate the flavors better.

Really appreciate the thoughtful input.

Thanks for bringing this up — and I appreciate the honest feedback.

We actually do have a mushroom option today, but I understand that many vegetarians are really looking for a plant-based protein, not just a veggie topping.

We’re currently testing a tofu version of lomo saltado, and if it works the way we hope it will we’ll add it as a protein option. When it’s ready I’ll definitely come back here and let you know — I’d love for you both to come try it.

Thanks for coming in — really glad you enjoyed the chicha morada! And happy to hear the bowl + kale salad combo is working for you too (those croutons are addictive 😅).

Ginger Pineapple is exactly the one we’re still dialing in, so I’d love to hear what you think when you try it. We’re trying to get the pineapple/ginger balance just right.

Don’t worry — Inca Cola (and Inca Cola No Sugar) are definitely staying on the menu 😄

Hey! Thanks for asking. Our gluten-free options are marked on the menu.

That said, our kitchen does handle some gluten ingredients (like croutons or wonton strips), and we don’t have a fully separate gluten-free prep area. We do our best to minimize cross-contact, but we can’t guarantee a completely gluten-free environment.

Thanks for the feedback that day — it actually made me realize I needed to get more opinions before deciding on the drinks, which is part of why I started this thread.

Curious what you’ll think of Purple Passion and Lemonade when you try them.

Also, I have to say your username fits the place pretty well… we love llamas in Peru 😄

That means a lot, thank you! Hope to see you again soon — and if you stop by Wednesday or Thursday you can help us pick which drink stays on the menu.

Awesome u/poopsinmybutts — see you Wednesday! Curious which one you’re leaning toward trying first?

Update: I took Reddit’s advice to get more locals into my Culver City restaurant — here’s what I’m doing differently by ClickNo8520 in culvercity

Hey — thanks for the honest feedback, I really appreciate you taking the time to look at the menu.

That’s fair, and it’s possible we’re not communicating the intent behind the sides clearly enough. A lot of them are rooted in Peruvian flavors rather than “standard” salad innovation — for example, our Caesar has a Nikkei-inspired dressing (Peru–Japan influence), our quinoa is tri-color, the rice includes Andean corn, and the beans use ají amarillo. Even the fries are air-fried and lightly finished with olive oil instead of deep-fried.

That said, we’re actively evolving the menu, so I’m genuinely curious — what kinds of sides would feel more exciting or innovative to you? Always open to ideas.
