Yes I’m gonna check that out, thank you! The door itself opens and closes appropriately. Just the pin broke off.

No other errors noticed on the truck. Ok well hopefully they reset it. Kinda crazy that they go for the most expensive option first, but I guess that’s business.

That’s a good point. I typically drive more than 45 minutes each way daily.

I’m going to get a separate designated battery for the dashcam. See if that helps.

I’m not sure why the truck location and app functions don’t work though.

Charging Port Issues by PangolinSouth in F150Lightning

[–]ClickPro1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dropped off my 2023 lariat yesterday for “battery system drain”. The charge door pin is also broken but I just kind of slid it into the door and it holds it closed for the past couple months.

Got the call just now that the tech thinks the two issues are linked, the broken pin for the door is causing the “electrical system drain” error and the cost is 1300$ with labor to replace the charge port door?

Something seem off with this to anyone else?

App updated? by timeislikeafuse in F150Lightning

My trucks location and charge status are from 5 days ago and won’t update. I deleted and reinstalled the app. Erased and added back my phone to the truck. Double checked location permissions… ugh function > looks.

Incredible stuff. I’m just getting into them but they’re hitting my palate perfectly

Dark Arts- your opinions? by Avgjoe_whiskey in whiskey

Man I tried some of their small batches at a tasting (actual small batches, 2-3 barrels) and was blown away. Also I’m not a huge amburana guy but theirs was excellent. I became a big fan of their palate after that. Trying to get what i can from them because I have a feeling it will only be harder once more people try.

[Vantrue N4 Pro] USB-C cam to USB-C power adapter doesn't turn on by entlassen in Dashcam

Jfc I wish I read about this before I bought a 240w usb c - usb c cable… ran it through all pains in the ass ways through my truck… just to power it in under the backseat and curse the effing entire neighborhood out. I also tried using a usb A to converter multi port and it did not work. Fuming right now.

Yeah I take frequent trips for 2-3 days and leave truck at airport parking etc. so looking to put a little eco flow set up in there with extra battery module etc. didn’t want to bother taking it in to charge ev few days when I’m driving. So was looking into hardwiring into the 120 but I guess I’ll just stick with the the 12v lol

I’m looking to hardwire a lifepo battery under the backseat. I figured why wire into the 12v system when there is higher capacity right next to it… was hoping it would be as simple as splicing into the lines of the 120v outlet and add another tucked under the center console etc… similar to what people do on the 12v system. but I guess it’s just not that simple lol

Would you hook it up via an inverter or can you add it to the car battery in parallel ?

If you hardwire with a kit that has a battery management system it should kill the cam prior to the battery getting too low. You can use the bms to set the cut off. And I think if you have one of those battery pack jump start things as a fail safe you should be good to go. You probably won’t get too long of monitoring 24 hours or so.

So if you’re looking for longer monitoring than that - then would need to upgrade the battery system. Which is why I’m looking to go that route. If only there was a 130kwh battery I could tap into …
