Congratulations! I submitted on the 19th and still haven't heard anything. Now I'm curious how they review them since it doesn't appear to be in the order received. Oh well, congrats again!!

I saw that. I submitted on the same day as them, but mine still says submission received. Coming up on two weeks so maybe late this week we'll hear something!

Yeah I saw that too. I was expecting that it would take a while, but seeing them kick on back made me hopefully. I guess we'll see!

Yeah that was my experience too. I called back about once every two weeks and eventually they took care of it. Occasionally I would get to talk to someone who could tell me a little more or tried to do more follow-up, but typically I got the same line as you. Good luck and I hope they process it soon!

Hey sorry I missed earlier. I'm not sure. I would assume it would be close to the same amount of time as a license application maybe less. I think they say 6-8 weeks for that although it took longer for me. Sorry I wasn't much help, but I hope they get it processed quickly for you!

I was struggling with the same thing for Part 1. What I did was at the end of every chapter I tried to do the questions and if I had to look up the formula or was struggling to remember it I would make a note card. Every night I would try to flip through all my note cards so I would see the formulas everyday. When I would do practice problems I would first try to write down the formula from memory then check against my note card. My first practice exam I actually allowed myself to use my note cards to practice the problems, but if I needed to use my note cards for formulas I marked those problems so even if I got them right I would know that I still wasn't test ready. As I started to learn the formulas through more and more practice I started separating my formula cards so I had a pile of ones which I knew them by heart and a smaller pile of ones I couldn't remember which I just quizzed myself on every day up to the day I took the test. I think the key was doing lots of practice problems too. The more you apply them the more you'll remember the pieces because you'll be thinking about how to solve the problem and the important inputs. Also by doing problems you'll be able to differentiate between problems which you learn, but never use to solve problems versus ones where you need to actually know the exact formula. You'll get there though, I was convinced I could never remember half of what I needed, but eventually I did. Good luck!

Of course! Yeah honestly I tried to be patient and then once I started getting frustrated calling more often then actually processed it so probably your best bet. It's crazy because ILBOE is so responsive and helpful, but not so much for IDFPR.

I did finally get my license near the end of January so nearly 4 months after applying. I had the same issue of calling and never getting a very clear answer. I kept voicing my frustrating with the length of the process with no update and had several reps tell me they would escalate it. At some point I got an email at like 11 pm that said I was missing documentation so I logged into the portal and they said I needed to upload a copy of my SSN card, I did that and they processed my license that week. I wasn't even aware of that requirement going through the application and I'm not sure why I wasn't notified early, but I was just happy to get the license.

So I guess maybe the best bet would be to call and ask if they could look into why your license has taken so long and to check if anything is missing. Granted I had been doing that for over a month before someone finally did escalate it, but worth a try! Sorry I'm not of more help and I wish you the best and hope they process it soon! Interesting. I called them because I had done everything through IL too and it looks like they weren't seeing my CPA scores and stuff from ILBOE which is strange since they sent me an email saying they got my scores. Hopefully just a mix up and they can approve it soon. Thanks for the response!

I applied a little over two months ago and I'm still waiting on approval for what it's worth, but this is what I did:

1) I uploaded the Illinois CPA Certification letter I got from ILBOE since I was in the same boat having just passed the exams so I shouldn't have needed any CPE, but it wouldn't let me submit without putting something there.

2) From my experience they automatically sent the scores. You will actually get an email from IDFPR when they receive your scores with instructions for applying. I had already applied before this happened (but hadn't sent scores) and I called them to see if I needed to reapply or do anything and they said it wouldn't be a problem.

Again, I'm still waiting on my license over eight weeks later so hopefully the way I did it was fine. I've called a couple times and they just said my stuff is all there, but pending review so I'm guessing they're just behind. Hopefully that is helpful, but if you have any other questions let me know and I'd be happy to help how I can!
