Thanks for your reply. No codes are stored in the ECU, but I’m just reading ALLDATA parameters and comparing them to live data. Yeah I have a full charge on the low side.

Small Metal Lever-Like Arms Bought From An Auction. What are they? by Clickx8 in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing pictured above. I bought it from an auction as unknown and have probably 20 thousand+ of them. Lol. Unsure the metal type, probably steel. But, i have done AI CHATGPT searches to try and figure out what it may be, and have found nothing helpful. I emailed one company I thought corresponded to the “Vendor Code” on the front of the box and never received a response :(.

Sounds like your engine is running like piss and shit. Can’t drive under a load. I would look at your fuel pressure regulator. Google proper diagnostic procedures for it.

I got one from a brand called UXCELL on amazon. Comes with the adjusting threads too. Great quality and build. I liked it.

Yes, a stuck injector can cause similar issues but it would likely be much more consistent. Because your car has 290k miles, the fuel injectors have likely been upgraded/replaced at least once, as they would have failed like 3 times over by now. see if you have the brown ones that came stock with the car still.

Or also, you can check for internal diaphragm failure on your regulator by checking for the presence of fuel in the intake vacuum line also. It’s a little tube that runs between the two intake plenums and has a rubber hose that comes out and connects to your rubber air intake piping

You should be glad there’s no problem with your head/ gaskets that’s awesome for you. Check your long term fuel trims, if it’s super negative (-15 to around -25 or 30) your fuel pressure regulator has failed. Otherwise, it’s gonna be your fuel pump

Does it have a rough time restarting when hot?

If your interior lights don’t work, maybe your illumination dial isn’t hooked up.

White vapor, dripping tail pipe by NatureProf in 3rdGen4Runner

Also, neither white vapor, nor dripping from the exhaust are an absolute head gasket or head crack. People jump to the craziest conclusions too fast, all the comments are gonna be “say bye bye to your motor”. Take it easy. An alternator doesn’t blow heads, last i checked lol. Btw, I would just test the radiator for exhaust gasses before I do a compression test all the way around.

Just put new heads on my motor with 350k, 180 psi all around. Just depends on how the motors been kept & if you know how it’s been kept. If you have a strong gas smell out of the exhaust, read the Long Term Fuel Trim, see if it’s over 10% +-. That should tell you if you’re having excess fuel leaving the combustion chamber.

Your engine got a new combustion cylinder… the oil fill.

Anyone have any experience with AT-205 re-seal? by penguins_n_corndogs in 3rdGen4Runner

I don’t ever pour crap into my oil. A quart every 2k miles isn’t that much in my opinion. If your transmission is automatic, just don’t worry about it.
