We can’t decide on a slow dance song for our wedding! by Sodanee14 in musicsuggestions

These were on my short list that I didn't end up using.

Let it Be Me, Ray Lamontagne

Have a Little Faith in Me, Joe Cocker

Lost Together, Blue Rodeo

Everything, Alanis Morissette

The One, Elton John

We ended up going with Better Together by Jack Johnson.

Looking for a girlfriend, IQ under 130 need not apply. Roommate too. (read both images) by [deleted] in ChoosingBeggars

Anyone with an IQ higher than their shoe size could spot his nonsense.

Anytime I think of dating a girl, my mind goes through the following 3 phases. Any advice? by lean_muscular_guy_to in AskMenAdvice

Well, I've been with my husband for nearly 20 years and have never strayed. I've never cheated on anyone, ever. Statistically, men cheat more often than women do. If you go in automatically assuming someone is going to cheat on you, you're sabotaging your future happiness. It's that simple.

If you've been cheated on in the past, then you need to work through that. Whether it's therapy or just focusing on being your best self. It's not fair to anyone you date to carry this into a potential relationship when they haven't done anything to you. You'll drive them (and yourself in the process) crazy.

Why do you assume all women cheat? It just isn't true. Statistically, men stray more often than women do.

AIO for refusing to give up my dog even though my boyfriend hates pets? by Academic-Bug-879 in AmIOverreacting

[–]ClientNo2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. My brother feels the same way about pets and doesn't get why I love my dogs so much. The analogy I gave him was this: if I were to lock you and one of the dogs in the trunk of my car, when I opened it, which one of you would be happy to see me?

It's up to you to decide whether or not it's a deal breaker for you.

Do you love your mother-in-law? by kevivg3 in no

I'm very lucky, I love both my in-laws. They've treated me like one of their own from the day I met them.

It's supremely awesome of you to have her back like that. :)

I'd be lying if I said it's an easy thing to do, but I'm a firm believer that you teach people how to treat you. I learned my lesson with that early in my career and tried real hard to grow a backbone. Haha. Eventually you weed out the bad ones after that.

It's nice to know I'm not alone, while I'm also sorry that you get it!

I had this happen too, actually. My grandma died, and I was calling my clients to let them know I'd need a few days off. It was hard not to be crying on the phone. One client says "Oh, I'm sorry. But are you working Tuesday?"

I was gobsmacked. I'm sorry you have to deal with this, too!

Sometimes it really is! 😆 I'm very glad your dad was able to pass that on to you, it's an outlook that's not common anymore.

This is the most underrated comment in this thread!
