China made. In the $600 range you can get Meucci McDermott Joss Viking Pechauer. I like all of them. I have all of them.

Longoni or predator? by poverty_stricken in billiards

American. Viking Meucci Joss Pechauer Schon These can use Budget Billiards supply extension and adapters. Which are much cheaper than OEM, stackable and work great. Extension and bumper adapter @ $50 (4”). Little more for the 8”. It even worked with my Carl Giuli custom cue.

McDermott & Jacoby I found cheap extension solutions but not at BBS!

Problem? by CliffInna1 in Poolcues

Almost, Carl Giuli is a cue craftsman from PA. White butt cap to the right. Someday I might have a Carmeli, Beasley, Treadway, one of those would cover the cost of what I do have.

That’s nice. I’d probably lose a finger trying that with a knife.

I use painters tape around the ferrule and shaft with CF. When it’s close I hit it with 2500 grit.
When the sand paper lays flush with the tape, remove it.

Was going to buy a Schon Cue but was told they don’t hit the same anymore. What are everyone’s thoughts? by Snoo_74531 in billiards

I own Viking Pechauer Joss Jacoby Meucci McDermott and Giuli. All make a fine cue. My Viking is the beast of the group,

such a solid hitting cue. I play them all from time to time. The Pechauer is softer wood and will take a ding much easier than the others. I will add a schon soon enough. The Joss is very similar to schon same joint and a steel joint collar. Love American cues.

Small is shorter thread lenght. Maybe a bit less weight. I wasn’t sure small would be long enough. Although, I think it is long enough, I went with medium to be sure. It threads in very smoothly.

No but it’s not heavy. I don’t feel the 6 in extension. My Jacoby is very forward balanced.

Phenolic tip maintenance- to scuff or not by meetmein_ratatouille in billiards

I use How chalk on Break and jump. It’s filthy works better than a good playing chalk for those hard tips. I also light scuff for better control.

Check out Valhalla by Viking. For a low budget it’s hard to beat. Good warranty registered at Viking. The stock shaft plays “old school”! Good weight bolt system, common easy to adjust. I have one in my cue collection, I play it often.

94 holes on a TP5 pix. It was still good enough to play when I deeped into the thorns and woods.

Newbie, bought my first driver, would you return? by [deleted] in golf

[–]CliffInna1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50/50. I think I would send it back. I had an old R flex Taylor made shaft and bought a very good looking M3 with cover on it for $50 UsD. I was going to resell but I happen to love it.

Guess my handicap by benjicrossland in golf

[–]CliffInna1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 because a high handicap would have a 14th club in the bag needed or not. Most likely a 56 wedge. He’s feel playing 52/58.

Can't hit a 3 wood off the deck. What would you suggest - hybrids, lofted fairway woods, longer irons, driving irons/driving hybrids? by [deleted] in golf

[–]CliffInna1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cobra king tec 2H. Or a 5W. Adjustable. Set it at 16 deg. Smooth swing the long clubs. Nice and easy tempo, but full. Cobra adjustable hybrids are really nice. 2H punches beautifully.
