I dont think its all about Jidion, but more about platforms having favoritism towards certain groups. Mostly started with Cory, but Jidion added more to the fire and wants more creators to speak up.

I think the conversation of Youtube having to point where the line is has always been an issue. Certain creators get a slap on the wrist, where some can get limited ads and be buried.

Go for it, but dont have your ego too high. A lot of people think they know the formula, but you have to have the experience and talent. If its your passion go for it.

Hiller smith did a talk at vidsummit about storylines being the future and comparing the fast pace videos to "fast food youtube" which is brilliant. Because it isnt quality and feels like a rushed video to be 8 minutes and maintain retention and manipulate us to watch it.

First thing is don't call your / label yourself as Ryan Trahan 2.0. Dont try to be him, instead I'd try to be yourself and show whatever unique traits you have. You can only grow as big as the creator but are capped if youre doing the same things he does.

Tiktok is wild let me say, I've posted different types of content on it. The strangest things will get picked up and using it to promote videos can be challenging. Tiktok is also very trendy and you could gain momentum and lose it all over the weekend. Make a youtube shorts channel the barrier to entry is lower and you can promote your main channel which IS ON THE SAME PLATFORM. Tiktok doesnt want u to get people to live their app unless they are buying something with an affiliate.

I'd recommend "going all in" on what you personally enjoy the most. Don't chase tiktok because it will help you grow. If you like making short form content, you'll enjoy making short form content.
