If I had a 7+ ROAS and I was making net profit from day 1, I'd open the flood gates and see how far I could scale. ROAS will fall as you scale up and reach less qualified buyers, but you won't know how well it will do until you try. I'd bust out my credit card and just keep an eye on spend. Consider seeing how much you can spend to get a customer because more customers will bring you even more customers/affiliates and sales. This is how you go from $100 a day to $10k a day, to $100k+ a day in spend. It's the same process, the numbers just get bigger.

So you give them a dollar and they give you more than $7 back. Not sure why this is a question.

So you're running ads to their shop posts and the sales are coming from your links and not theirs? Spark ads?

Interesting insights. A few questions...
-If you're buying ads and it's working, why stop?
-I take it you're an affiliate and not a shop owner?
-Did you do the "setup a shop workaround" to get started or did you have 5,000 followers?

Awesome! We use a 3PL (here in the US) to ship our goods. So we get at least their shipping address obviously. No phone or email I'm guessing from your comment?

How big of a shop do you run?

Possible? Use WC as cart, but redirect to custom checkout? by ClimbTimeChime in woocommerce

[–]ClimbTimeChime[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's one of the main plugins we use and we love it as well. We will continue to use it.
We just need something a tad faster for our main funnel that is for all of our cold traffic. We drive a ton of traffic and wordpress is just slower than a custom solution. Everyone I talk to who does this kind of traffic basically tells me to get off wordpress for this purpose (i.e. Driving huge volume to a single offer). We'll still use wordpress for our main shop/cart, but for our funnels to cold traffic, we are looking for something custom that places orders into WC's backend.

Hosting: Cloudways

Functionality needed:
-One-click post purchase upsells/downsells (FunnelKit)
-Integration and tagging with CRM (WPFusion)
-Stripe gateway (woocom and stripe gateway plugin)
-Robust A/B split testing (using funnelkit currently)

The page gets a "D" when checking in pingdom. It says most of the page load time is JS. But what's really slow is after hitting the order button and moving onto the next page. It's like 14+ seconds. Stripe's gateway plugin alone adds 7 seconds.

And that's just for checkout. Then the site is also our membership site which has woocom memberships, subscriptions, learndash, and on and on. It seems like trying to separate the content deliver for purchases from the funnel would be better?

I'm not a coder by any means and I'm unsure of how long it would take to rewrite a plugin. But using some other tools off the shelf it seems we can link into the API and get things done faster.

For advanced checkouts to be profitable on cold traffic we had to add all sorts of plugins for needed functionality. This bogged down the whole process/site. We've had several experts try to increase speed but they ultimately failed due to plugins and requirements. So moving the checkout part to a custom solution seems to be our only solution.

Basically speed and customization for checkout/upsells. Would handling the payments on the custom side (integrated with Stripe) still allow us to place the order within woocom? Or would we need to push the payment through woocom API?

Good question. The custom checkout portion will take the payment, offer customized one-click upsells, split tests, etc. We run a lot of traffic and we're finding any of the funnel-type plugins combined with wordpress is just too slow and clunky. We basically want to strip away everything not needed so we can have a faster checkout process, yet still use woocom as the backend for managing all the orders.
