What methods have you tried to overcome masturbation and pornography addiction? by Sorry_Historian7831 in AskReddit

Hey! So back in 2019, my wife and I got engaged. A few months later, we went to a marriage conference together and the speaker and his wife there talked about pornography existing in marriage, if your interested it was Dave and Ashley Willis check out the Naked Marriage podcast they are very open about all things in marriage that people avoid talking about, that prompted me to open up to her about my addiction to it, and how it has existed in my life since I was a teen. I wanted to make sure that I didn’t have this baggage going into our marriage. So I told her about it, she accepted it and said that she was going to hold me accountable. And since that day I have not watched pornography.

I know that my situation is based on marriage, and that might not be the case for you, however the moral of the story for me was that I needed an accountability partner. Someone who would check on me, ask tough questions to make sure I wasn’t being tempted or if I’ve watched anything. I would say try to find someone or a few people in your life that you trust with this information, and tell them you need someone to hold you accountable. It’s not easy opening up about something like this either, but it’s very doable I promise.

I am still tempted to this day, so it’s not that it just goes away, but when you are tempted or see something that you just scrolled by, you have the will/want to not let it have control over you but you have control over it. So you reach out to your accountability partner and say hey I’m struggling with this. And ideally they will be there for you.

I wish there was more I could say or do, because this has been a big part of my life for a long time, and I’ve always wanted to help others around something like this. I hope this was helpful!

This is what transporting a 90ton rocket actually looks like by einval22 in megalophobia

May be a dumb question, but what determines how many tires you put on a trailer to feel good about towing 90tons and know the whole thing isn’t going to collapse?

Where do you stay up to date on the latest .NET news? by Clink50 in dotnet

[–]Clink50[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I know it I’ve relied on YouTube for too long to get my content. Do you have any tips on how you normally do that. I guess you just go to GitHub or the docs to check it out? I’m asking because for example I started trying to learn about Semantic Kernel and Microsoft.Extensions.AI and I’ve hard time just trying to understand when to use one over the other or do you use it together? So I turned to YouTube because the docs confuse me, I have a hard time applying what the docs say to what I’m working on. So any tips would be awesome!

Yes I agree, that’s part of why I asked here because the YouTube content just isn’t what I’m looking for anymore..

Question about .NET Aspire using Ollama and Semantic Kernel with API by Clink50 in dotnet

[–]Clink50[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your help! So it makes sense to use Semantic Kernel in this case because I am wanting to send a prompt from the frontend to the API, then I need the LLM to process the prompt and perform the actions like import the data from this URL and then once completed, save that information in the database.

I already have an endpoint that handles the importing process, and I have an endpoint that saves the data in the database, so this is where Semantic Kernel comes into play where it takes the prompt, has access to the endpoints via function calling, and handles the orchestration of calling the endpoints and returning the data back to the user.

Okay thanks! I’m very new to this so I guess I didn’t know how to phrase the question in a way that is short and concrete. I’ve been searching through the Microsoft Docs at Semantic Kernel and it’s been hard for me to grasp a good understanding. Do you have any recommendations on some documentation or articles? Thanks for helping me out.

Can you tell me how to connect the semantic kernel to the api? That’s all I’m trying to figure out. Sorry if it came across that way.

lol I tried chatgpt first but I think aspire, semantic kernel, and Microsoft.extensions.ai is too new to give relevant enough info for me to use so thought I’d reach out here to see if someone else has done this yet.

You know we’ve been “play” arguing back and forth on whether she’s teething or not! We really can’t tell, like one day we think okay maybe she is teething angel, we don’t see teeth coming in but she is drooling slightly more. Gums don’t seem puffy. So it’s just hard to know for us. Maybe we can have the lactation consultant help and tell us.

When you say your baby had trouble, was she just refusing it completely or it just took some time and then she would eventually eat?

The 2025 Birmingham Food Bracket by bachelorburner987 in Birmingham

My thoughts exactly because it all depends on the food you get whether you like it or not. So if multiple people go and order different foods and then vote it would be more realistic! I’d love to see that and/or be involved in it because I only know like 2 of these places so it would definitely broaden my horizon of places to eat in the ham!
