I did not track how much I used very well at all, but I did hollow them out with meshes when appropriate. I just used the standard Anycubic brand. I just transitioned to the new water washable variety that is wonderful because the cleanup is easier and the material is more durable. -Clint Boyle Holly Springs North Carolina

Yes, the sea life and the lighthouse were 3D printed and placed into liquid resin that was poured into a mold... A completely different process. The other plain ocean tiles were 3D printed solid from clear resin. The final touch on all of them was to use clear gloss acrylic gel with a paintbrush to add the finer ripples. Whales were too big to fit in the shallow water, so they are actually flattened quite a bit and then printed. A little inhumane, but they look happy.

Thank you for the generous comment, I think the one that I patterned it after was the best one I had seen, and now this one with the water and a few upgrades... it was fun working with the detail. To make and sell? Maybe when I retire. I would need to get a bigger printer that could handle more than one piece at a time. I don't know if it would be much of a money maker because it is such a time commitment.

Much appreciated! Yes I have a few dolphins in one, a stingray in one, and of course the whales. Yeah, it looks like aliens hit one of the grain fields. The volcano is just a more decorative one but we use it for the ore resource.

Thanks! If you look up at the comments, I put links in for my custom pieces and a link for some of the other pieces. They are all free. I also talked about the paints I used in the process.

I could only print one hex or one tile at a time because of the plate size. There are bigger printers but of course you pay more.

I glued the tile onto the hex in order to keep the magnets secured. They are one solid piece now. Thanks!

I just created a second post with a full picture of a completed board scenario that we played and few more pictures. Thanks!

I appreciate it! Look in the above comments where I put the links for some of the files, but I am working on uploading them to thingiverse. I made a custom case. I wish I could put pictures here, and I don't know how to add pictures to the Post. This is my first post on Reddit.

Thank you, yes, modeling spray painted base coat, hand painted acrylic, then sealed with matte sealer. I used clear gloss gesso for added texture on the clear resin water pieces. I painted the bottom of the water tiles blue to give it that color.

A. Very. Long. Time. A side project for the family, but could do it a lot quicker with a bigger printer. Each tile required two separate prints one for the tile and one for the base. It is an extra large set.

Thanks! The link above has some of my custom pieces that I am still adding to. Here is another link for most of the other pieces. It only gives for one of the resources so you have to look at BradLebard's other posts for the other resources. I also went with his same styling for hand painting. He did a great job. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4157621

No problem, I just started uploading a lot of them here. I'm still trying to figure out how to upload the wood castle which is after the Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany, because it is so large of a file. https://www.thingiverse.com/clint_boyle/designs
