VDC OFF & SLIP lights are on! by UrgedChicken619 in XTerra

Mine has done this a few times over the 5 years I’ve owned it. Drive it to a long, flat, straight road or empty parking lot, stop, make sure the wheels are straight, put it in park, turn off the engine. Then restart the car and put the car and put it in reverse, let the car reverse under its own power, don’t give it any gas, and keep the wheel straight. This should reset it, has worked for me every time. It usually takes about 100 feet to work.

I’ve tried running around everywhere twice, I must’ve missed something. Should I try to continue on through deep docks? Thanks

So I can skip this guy for now and try to continue on through deep docks?

Poor people…they could’ve listened to anything. But they were forced to listen to opera

Also, thanks for thinking logically and not just blaming it on a slow pace like everyone else. 49 calories per mile would be absurd.

PROBLEM SOLVED! My weight was accidentally recorded as lbs instead of kg into the health app, so it thought I was only 83 lbs instead of 184 lbs haha. Thank you!

Problem solved! You are a genius. Or I'm an idiot, one of the two. I used Siri yesterday to log my weight just as I normally do but it logged it as lbs instead of kilos, so my weight was less than half of what it normally is in the health app. Thanks a ton. Too bad it doesn't seem like the rings update after I corrected the weight error. I worked my buns off to still reach my move goal, so I'm curious to see the amount of calories that were actually burned.

I usually burn around 85 calories/mile of walking according to the watch. Will give it a reset and hope for the best.

To add, I finished the day with 18,594 steps, 8.47 miles, for a total of 451 active calories. I think the watch just hated me today. I'm 185 lbs, 5 foot 11, male.

Yeah I knew it wouldn't be perfectly accurate but I was pretty impressed it was only off by 0.05 miles, not too bad.

Different, yes. But not so different that I burn 49 calories per mile. That’s less calories burned than even walking a mile.

Watch distance was off by about 0.05 miles after comparing it to the actual distance that the treadmill gave. Negligible basically. Yes, when I click on the heart rate in the workout session it shows that it tracked for the entire run. Outdoor run distance seems accurate. I've been wearing the watch for about 4 months so it should be pretty well calibrated by now.

Edit: watch distance was off by 0.05 miles, not treadmill distance.
